Believe it or not we like to bring the kids here in the winter and bad weather. There's lots of indoor and outdoor activities, the Pacific Science Center is a favorite.

Good Date Spot 10/27/2005

I recently went on a date to the Seattle Center and even though we didn't have a lot in common, the Seattle Center is a place where there is always something going on. From rides, to games, to exhibits, there isn't a dull moment. It also helped to break the ice between my date and I because you really get to know someone well when you are gripping onto them on a rollar coaster! The only downfall of this area is the price. It can get a little pricey but I would definetly recommend it. more

Nice place to spend the day 10/8/2005

I enjoy Seattle Center very much. There is an arcade there as well as an amusement-park of sorts with rides and such. There are large exhibition halls that have exhibits when there are festivals. It also houses the Seattle Space Needle which is a very nice place to go if you're a visitor to Seattle. The main exhibition hall has a food court with many different restaurant choices available. There is a large fountain that squirts water in accord with music that is playing. Very peaceful. more

Pretty fun place even though I don't have kids 9/20/2005

My daughter and son-in-law live in Seattle and visiting there has made Seattle my second favourite city in the world! They took me to Seattle Center and it was pretty interesting. They didn't have too much of a good time, but I thought the exhibits were nice and I especially liked the carnival atmosphere when a festival was going on. We were there during the Tibet Fest and there were so many vendors and artisans and the most delcious food. I think it's best visited when there is something going on. When there aren't any festivals it seems kind of dead and there's not much to do. Also, the skee-ball machine was broken at the arcade and I was kind of bummed out about that. more

a fun outing 9/14/2005

Seattle Center is a great place to go to spend a morning, an afternoon, or an entire day. There are so many things to do and see and so many shops to look in, restaurants to eat at, and people to see that you can easily whittle away an hour wandering around. Often they have different events going on and things to do. Its very close to downtown shops as well so you really can make a day of it! more

Feh.... 8/21/2005

Seattle Center is what houses the Space Needle, Key Arena, Pacific Science Center, and a whole bunch of space and nothing much else. There is an amusement park there, which makes it fun. IT's also one of the 2 stops on the Monorail, which is a fun thing to ride. There are a bunch of buildings that aren't ever used except when there are festivals or marches going on. If you go to Seattle Center on a tuesday, expect there to be nothing to do besides going to the Space Needle. This is where Bite of Seattle is held, which is super fun. There's a fountain that you can play in, too more

Seattle Center 8/19/2005

The heart of northern downtown, this is a sprawling nearly 90-acre site which contains several Seattle attractions, including Key Arena (SuperSonics),performing arts (ballet, opera, etc), the Children's Museum, Experience Music Project, Science Fiction Museum, Fun Forest Amusement Park, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Center Monorail, an international food court, and more. more

Not the Center of My Universe 8/18/2005

How many times can you go to the top of the Space Needle before it becomes a bore? Apparently twice. Loved it as a kid. Loved seeing it again as an adult. It is always on the must-see list for out-of-towners, but I refuse, I saw the Elvis movie "It Happened at the World's Fair" recently. Why doesn't the Seattle Center look like this anymore? A fantasy wonderland of the future as seen in 1962. No attention paid here to historic preservation. The amusement park sucks too. more

Bless your heart.... 8/14/2005

Kimberly - I *think* they sell sno-cones at Seattle Center. If they aren't in the food court of the main building, check outside near the Fun Forest. I just had the absolute best sno-cone (shaved ice, sugar free syrup) at the Rose Garden in Portland. I know that doesn't help here in Seattle but just in case you're heading that way..... Good luck! more
