Seattle's Best Massage Therapist 12/22/2011

Cynthia Callison has singlehandedly improved my life in many ways. I saw her for two full years, almost weekly, after a pretty serious car accident. I had muscular and joint problems in my back which created pain throughout it and other parts of my body. From the very first session, Cynthia’s vast knowledge of the body and how it works and is all connected, was demonstrated through varying techniques and approaches that made me feel amazing at the end of the session. Not only were the areas of pain completely relieved, but every single part of my body felt relaxed, stretched, renewed, and realigned. With every session, I felt major improvements and was thoroughly satisfied. I didn’t realize just how exceptional Cynthia was until I saw another massage therapist once, and felt totally dissatisfied, and as though they had just touched the surface (pun intended). It’s as if Cynthia intuitively knows exactly what pressure is perfect for deep relaxation and rejuvenation of the muscles, and exactly where to apply it. She even added elements of physical therapy, helping me stretch areas that directly affected my areas of pain. Every session, she also gave me extensive advice on home treatments I could do-exercises, exercise tools, positions, therapeutic activities, etc. She also recommended the best chiropractor in Seattle, wonderful exercise class instructors, and more. She and who she associates with are TOP QUALITY. She is also a very personable, compassionate young woman, who makes you comfortable, serene, and happy to be there-sessions were the highlight of my week. She is also flexible and works wonderfully with your schedule. I now have immense respect for massage therapy and know that it is highly beneficial for every person, no matter the presence of injury or physical issues. It not only realigns, relaxes, and relieves the physical body, it calms the mind, nourishes the soul, and I am living proof that I gained extraordinary mental and psychological benefits as well. I could not recommend Cynthia Callison more enthusiastically-she has MAGIC hands and has enabled me to resume all daily activities (school, work, dance, etc) pain free and to enjoy long lasting benefits of her massage. more

Excellent massage therapists and homey atmosphere 11/3/2009

I have been a patient of several of the practitioners of Seattle Advanced Body Work Associates over the past ten years. I find the atmosphere warm, relaxing, and very homey. Ted Johnson is great at deep tissue massage. Darryl Martin is wonderful at finding out just where it hurts and then working out the kinks, Nate Starling does great chair massage and Jean Clough has intuitive and magical hands. Jeans room is my personal favorite, with beautiful art on the wall and a lovely stained glass mirror in the window. The clinic has a nice vibe and the practitioners seem to really enjoy working together. I would highly recommend anyone of these great practitioners! Pros: Excellent therapists to chose from Cons: None really more

Excellent massage clinic 4/3/2009

Jean Clough, owner of SABA, has been my favorite massage therapist for many years. She is professional, experienced, really understands what's going in the human body and how to ease up tension, and shows a perfect mix of technical skill and intuition. She continually takes trainings to advance her skills and broaden the types of treatments she offers. (She also gave me great pre-natal massages when I was pregnant with my daughter eight years ago.) I've also gotten good massages from Cynthia Callison and Petra Hines at SABA when Jean wasn't available, and was very happy with their treatments as well. The best thing is that SABA works with a lot of insurance carriers including mine :-) Pros: Experienced and intuitive practioners Cons: None really, except that Jean is often booked up more
