best experience ever 6/14/2016

I have been wearing glasses for the past twenty years and every two years I go for an exam and new glasses. This year I tried sears after my last doctor retired. It was the best experience I have ever had getting my eyes examined and purchasing glasses . The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the cost of the eye wear was very reasonable more

Best lunch deal in Greenlake 6/30/2006

I agree with all of the above from the other reviewers, and I will add that Krittika has the best (ie, tastiest and least expensive) lunch deal in all of Greenlake. I think they serve lunch until pretty late (3:30 at least) and all entrees are less than $8. The service is very good and the restaurant has a pleasant, sunny envrionment. more

Thai Restaurant off of Latona Avenue 3/16/2006

Best Thai food I've had in a long time! I had the lemon chicken and my friend Harriet who turned me on to this low cost, good food locale had cashew chicken. The Thai rolls we shared were a good start to our meal, hot and tasty, not too spicy but I'm sure you can ask them to heat things up a bit. Even the soup that started our luncheon was the best I've ever had (I usually pass on the soup). Parking is ample on the street at least during the lunch hour. Staff is friendly and not in your face when you are talking with a friend. The only downside to our meal was the tea which was not hot and served in a mug with teabag rather than in a pot which I prefer. I will definitely be bringing my spouse for dinner at this fine Thai eatery. more

Great Thai off the beaten path 12/25/2005

We used to live a lot closer to Krittika and would go a few times a month. We lived closer to Royal Palm and would generally pick Krittika over it. Great Pad See Ew and various Yellow curries. The decor is funky and the service is always excellent. Kind of hot in the summer months since they don't have air conditioning. more

Never thought I'd like a red Pad Thai! 8/23/2005

We just moved to the Green Lake area, so Krittika is just a few blocks' walk from our house. My wife went there for takeout lunch on her day off, and totally raved about it. When I got home, she gave me some left-over chicken pad thai, and I was shocked to see that it had a red sauce on it! Neither my wife nor I had ever liked a red-sauce pad thai; only the brownish peanut sauce. Well I have to say that this is some of the best I've had! Since then, we have brought home dinner twice from Krittika, and have not been disappointed. My top recommendations are the pad thai (of course), chicken with black bean sauce, spicy fried rice, and beef pad see iew (don't know if I spelled that correctly). There's also an appetizer that's prawns and cream cheese wrapped in rice paper and deep fried - I'm sure it's not authentic Thai, but it is definitely yummy! I guess I would not recommend the cashew chicken - it was good, but not great. Next I want to try the bbq chicken and curries. We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet, so I can't say anything about the table service, but for take-out, it's a very good quality Thai restaurant. more

Krittika Thai, Great Neighborhood Place! 8/16/2005

This is a very good neighborhood Thai restaurant. My wife and I don't typically go in for the plain old Phad Thai but we're big time into noodles and Krittika has some of the best noodle that we've found in Seattle. Their bean threads are awesome and I haven't found them at any other Thai place. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual. It's a great place for takeout if you live nearby. Highly recommended. more

  • In Short
Casual parties congregate for classic Thai dishes served on colorful Fiestaware. Generous booths provide family-friendly comfort before or after a Green Lake stroll. As an appetizer, try the cream cheese-dipped prawns wrapped in rice paper and then fried. Spicy, coconut milk-infused Massaman curry combines beef and potatoes, while the dark pad thai challenges the notion of it being pink and sweet.
