My experience 5/7/2009

I have been taking all of my pets to Dr. Mohr for about 7 yrs now, and he has ALWAYS did a wonderful job. My new lab puppy came down with parvo at 13 wks old and Dr. Mohr saved her life! She was there for over a week with an IV and he only charged me 500.00 which I thought was TOO cheap. I worked for a vet and know he would have charged THOUSANDS for a stay that long AND the puppy probably would have died. I am not sure of the circumstances of the visit below BUT they must have not known animals because the list of symptoms is vital for an accurate diagnosis. To end this I will say I would recommend this vet to anyone. By the way I am taking my new puppy to him today! more

I read the review titled "RIP Abby" and felt that I MUST respond to this. I have used Dr. Mohr's practice since I moved to Dallas and have the utmost respect for him and I value his medical opinion impeccably. I have been in the medical field for over 15 years and I am no dummy when it comes to medicine. He is not cruel and heartless and neither is his staff.A companion animal is a HUGE responsibility. If you do not have the financial resources to take them to the vet at the drop at a hat then I suggest you find a pet that is better suited to your budget like maybe a rock. A puppy requires a significant amount of money in order to be taken care of properly. A vet should see it as soon as you get it. Don't wait weeks because it's not convenient for you. It must have ALL it's vaccinations, testing for worms, kept flea and tick free. It MUST be on heartworm protection for the entirety of it's life. He or she must, be bathed and groomed regularly and must have a nutritious diet suited to t more

RIP ABBY 11/05/08 @ 9:55 PM due to Misdiagnosis and unethical staff. 11/5/2008

These people are the most heartless and cruel people I have ever met in my life. Because I didn't have money up front and wouldn't get payed till Friday; they let my 12 week old puppy die a horrible slow death. They sent me home with Ringer and Anti-biotics and had misdiagnosed her to boot because they were more worried about haggling about money. Don't take your pets to this place. These people have their hearts in their wallets. They don't care about you or your pet, just the money and I have been told from another source they mistreat animals all the time. Another lady lost her dog there due to misdiagnosis as well. I also have found out that others have been turned away by these people and their pets sent home to die when they could have been saved. The only one who seemed to care was the older Vet who ended up charging me a thirteen dollar for the lab when I was told there would be no charge due to misdiagnosis. I spent over a hundred dollars and I just got off the phone with the more
