Beautiful stores, high prices 4/16/2006

Scott's stores are beautiful (all are newly-remodeled), and have excellent customer service. But I rarely shop here, because prices are high, they don't match competitors' prices, and they only double coupons up to .50. It seems that their market is people who don't care about food prices. If you do, I recommend Meijer or WalMart. Scott's is community-oriented and has various days throughout the year where they give money to the zoo, cancer society, etc. more

Sticker Shock 9/8/2005

The first time I went into Scott's after getting familiar with couponing, I went into a sticker shock. The prices skyrocketed. The service is wonderful and the people are helpful but the prices need to be adjusted to the Fort Wayne market. You can tell how they afforded all the new remodels and renovations on all the Scott's stores in the Fort Wayne area. In most cases with general food (not meat or deli) Scott's is about three times higer than Kroger or Meijer. more

High prices, beautiful store, friendly service 6/22/2005

Scott's is the place to shop if you want excellent service and don't mind high prices. They do double coupons to $1 and triple to .50, but they don't price-match and their prices are quite high compared to other grocery stores in the area. The employees are well-trained and friendly, and the stores are recently remodeled and beautiful. They are involved in the community and have days where they support the zoo, cancer society, etc. more

high prices, good sales though 6/20/2005

Scotts Foods normally has high prices on normal grocery items. The sales flyers have great sales on a lot of products we all need, but you can never be sure that they will have what you want once you get there. The pop they normally have great sales on is in such limited quantities that we can never get the kinds that we were looking for and either skip buying it or buy something other than what we really wanted. This location is easy to access, the store is staffed well and a clean place to shop, but the in-stocks and high everyday prices make it much less favorable than other grocery chains we have available. more
