Excellent Service and Speedy Delivery 9/10/2010

I have been eating at the Schianos on glenwood for over a year and recently I walked in to find new owners and an entirely new staff. I was at first wondering if their pizza would be as good but now I know it is even better. I didn't know that the pizza before was so horrible until I tried a pizza with freshly sliced sausage and peppers and realized how much better the sauce and crust is. I even noticed the cheese was cheesier if that is even possible. They also have a giant 28"" pizza which is supposed to be the biggest in NC. I might order that for a party. Sausage and onions of course. more

Great Pizza & Service! 8/31/2010

Placed a large order at Schiano's yesterday for a sales meeting. When I arrived, the pizzas were ready as promised and the staff was very friendly. They even helped load the pizzas into my car. The pizza was a big hit at the sales meeting, too! Everyone asked where it was from and made comments about how delicious it was. more

BEST PIZZA 8/31/2010

My wife and I stopped at Schiano's last night for dinner and We were really impressed with the way the new management introduced themselves to us. We ordered a special which it was two slices and a drink for five dollars and a lasagna. Both of our meal were outstanding. The pizza was the real NY style and the lasagna was homemade and reminded me of my grandma's on Sunday dinner. We have lived in the area for a few years and tried Schiano""s in the past and the pizza was unatable, We are so glad We stopped last night and if you have a chance go try their pizza. It is the best my wife and I have found in North Carolina. more

schianos new management 8/30/2010

i've been going to schiano's on glenwood on Monday nights for over a year...one slice a week. I've gotten to know the employees there and they've gotten to know me and my family. Tonight I call to order my ""to go "" order. I don't hear the familiar voice at the other end...the woman quickly informed me...""sciano's is under new management...their slices are now smaller...etc"" . My daughter went to pick the order up...said they were unfriendly. My order was over $2.00 more expensive...and the slices much smaller. The crust was tough and burnt on the bottom. I'm not going back. I may try Leesville Schiano's. I'm going to miss the pizza and the people! more

My Favorite Pizza Place 8/17/2008

I have been working for this family for 2 years, I have honestly barely gotten any complaints about the pizza and food there, if anything we get enormous praise, and our customers are loyal. If anyone has ever complained about the food we fix it no questions asked. This is a small business, and everything is made fresh, so if the pizza isnt right... tell us! We want to keep the community happy and keep serving the best pizza in town. more

Awful pizza, really. 1/8/2008

Schiano's on Strickland Road: I'm not sure what they're doing to their crust, but it is not good. We've ordered pizza from this restaurant 3-5 times since they've opened this store, and it's not the same as the Schiano's on Glenwood. The crust in the center of the pizza was so soggy that you couldn't pick up the pizza, you had to eat it with a fork and knife, and it was not tasty at all. The crust was very thin and cardboard like, there was no cheese around the outside of the pizza, just dumped in the middle. We've given this Schiano's a few tries too many, I'd order somewhere else, like Tony's on Glenwood & Ebenezer, they have very decent NY style pizza. Don't waste your money here. Pros: Delivery Cons: Quality of pizza more

Best Pizza Ever 7/4/2004

Schianos is the only pizza we eat anymore - the sauce is amazing and delivery is always fast. The service is as good as the pizza - friendly staff and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction ... Schianos is the greatest. Pros: pizza, pizza, pizza more

Good deal at lunch . . 5/18/2004

but that would be the only reason to go. I ordered a pie and an antipasto salad and the salad didn't even have onion. And it had bologna instead of salami!!! $6 for iceberg lettuce, a couple of carrots some pizza cheese and one slice of tomato. Pizza is OK though. Pros: Lunch buffet Cons: , Strip mall dining more

Best pizza 5/12/2004

This is some of the best pizza in Raleigh I have ever had. My boyfriend and I just love it. Since tyring it we haven't had pizza from any other place. Pros: good value, great taste, delivery more

This is not pizza! 10/5/2002

This is horrible pizza, on the level of Cici's. If you think CiCi's is good, you will probably like this. We were starving when we went to Schiano's, so we ate enough to be able to curb our hunger. If we had not been so hungry, we would have eaten only two bites and left. This is the worst independent (non-chain) pizza we have ever tasted. Definitely skip it. Pros: Convienient, Cheap Cons: Horrible food more

love the calzones! 7/30/2002

Go here for good pizza that is inexpensive and don't be afraid to try something different too. Calzones are to die for! And they take credit cards now!! Pros: not crowded, good food, take credit cards now Cons: not very fast service, needs delivery servic more

Real Pizza 7/27/2002

pizza like you get in NY; cheesy and not too much sauce. Great sandwiches like chicken parm and veal parm. Not much on looks but worth it more
