Baseball without all the ego and attitude 5/21/2006

My brother used to tell me how I had to go here because after years of hearing me complain about the outrageous salaries and egos of Chicago baseball teams, he knew I would appeciate the Schaumburg Flyers. You don't get the drunkin' fools like at Wrigley, you actually get people attending who care about baseball. It's a real treat to see up and coming talent play their hearts out for fans. It's a nice stadium and you don't get that (overpaid) baseball player attitude here, that's for sure. more

Baseball Fun 5/1/2006

This is a little Wrigley Field made in Schaumburg. People get really excited here for their home team. The field is huge and it will remind you of places like the US Cellular field and the Wrigely field. It is just as fun too. People bring their entire families here and it is like a picnic. They have nice seating and they have great concession stands here too. On a nice day it is always fun to be here because you can enjoy the weather and have some great food in a very big leauge type place. more

Great way to spend a summer afternoon 9/19/2005

Alexian Field is amazing, considering this is an independent team. It's clean, comfortable, and easy to get around. Parking is well organized. Ticket prices have gone up over the last few years, but what hasn't? This is great fun for baseball fans, or even those who just like to enjoy the outdoors. The between inning acts are entertaining for kids and adults. more

Great baseball in the northwest suburbs 8/19/2005

The Schaumburg Flyers play in Alexian Field, which is a very nice park in my opinion. With tickets of both major league teams in Chicago being hard to come by this season, the Flyers are a great alternative for families who are looking to spend a night at a baseball game. There's not a bad seat in the entire stadium, and the food is great. Ticket prices are fair as well, and you don't have to pay out the nose to park your car. There are a lot of places to go after the game in the Schaumburg area. more

A fun, American past-time outing! 8/17/2005

The Flyers are a minor league club playing out of Schaumburg, Illinois and are not affiliated with any MLB team. The club has only been around since 1998 yet they attract quite a following. We've been to a few games in the last year and always had a good time. The stadium is nice, well-kept and seats around 7000 total. There are reserved and lawn seats where you can spread out a blanket and enjoy the game. A single game ticket is around $10 and the concessions are reasonably priced. There are also plenty of between inning antics to keep younger children amused. All in all, watching a game is an enjoyable experience at the Flyers! more

Best Team In Town 8/11/2005

For a non major league baseball team, this team is very entertaining. The tickets are very cheap. The stadium is small so no seats are bad. The team is very good. The Stadium has nice parking so you wont have to walk a mile to get to your car. I would recommend seeing this team play. more

Great, Inexpensive Family Fun 7/25/2005

The Schaumburg Flyers are a AA minor league baseball team that plays at Alexian Field in Schaumburg. Minor League baseball is a fun alternative to driving all the way into the city to see the Cubs or White Sox. The tickets, parking, and concessions at Flyers' games are cheaper than at the major league parks. A family of four can enjoy a game with food and drinks for $50 or $60, which I think is a great value. It's a fun time! more
