Scamp's Pet Centers

Everytime I go in there, I can't help but laugh at the prices there asking for none purbreeds.....These dogs are mainly MUTTS that look like the breed they should be.... word to the wise, becareful what you breed from there...! Buzzer-Clackamas, Or more

When my dads girlfriend bought several dogs from there(not to mention they are VERY over-priced), when she saw them they were sweet and quiet, but when she took them home they were a little too quiet and sleepy/drowsy. She took them to the vet and he said they had some sort of sleeping drug in them. The dogs died a few days later :[ Not only do they take very POOR care of the dogs, they cost approx. $900 or more!! more

i have worked at scamp's for four years! i have been trained by the company to teach people what they are buying and how to care for it. i like to call it the full service pet store. i can't bare to go to other pet stores for one reason, whetn i hear what the employees are saying to customers or should i say not saying. i'm sorry if you where helped by someone that was simply having a bad day just keep in mind that all people have a bad day. i strongly know that scamp's is a great pet store, i know because i am proudly there every day. i love animals of every kind and can tell you all about them....pick one more

I have been in the Scamps store in Salem quite a bit and found them to be very informative and helpfull. There was also an incedent with a ferret return at the Salem store when I was there purchasing reptile supplies. The clerck was very understanding about a biting ferret and children in the home, they offered another ferret or to exchange it for any other pet or merchandise in the store. The person returning the ferret was happy because they decideded on a different pet and put the return price towards thier new purchase. By the time I got up to the counter everyone was happy and it was settled. I also shop at the other pet stores and I have not found Scamps to be overly high on thier products?? In fact I find, with the exception that they don't have everything I need, that they are much more resonable on what I do get there. Anyway, I am a happy customer and have ALWAYS been treated good. more

My husband bought a ferret from this business and asked about their return policy several times and the sales lady told him there was a 14 day return. Once we got it home it became violent toward both of us so we decided to return it. We get there and the sales lady tells us "no, it's a 14 day health guarantee" and we cant return it. We spent $120 on their merchandise and all they gave us was attitude and poor customer service. they lied about not being able to contact their manager, lied about their ability to refund our money and FINALLY got a hold of their manager for us who told us he could write us a company check, but it'd take 2-3 weeks to get to us!! TERRIBLE service! I wouldn't suggest this awful pet store to anyone!! more

They have been making a lot of changes in this store. A Mayan themed reptile section. A tiki land for hermit crabs. A garden gazebo for the small animals. Wooden birds flying by the birds. Ponds too. Plus they know a lot about their pets. I recommend You go revisit this place. more

This place is ok. Nothing great. They have cats, dogs, small furry things, rats, lizards and a good selection of fish and other aquaduct items. Oh, and birds, lots of them. They can be very spendy. For example... When I was looking for a Dwarf African Frog I went there. hey want $4.99 each. I passed. When I went to PetCo I found them for $1.99. Th prices on everything seemed to be high. They do have a nice selection of items for most animals. more
