Disappointment is an understatement. 1/31/2012

I currently have a gift card from Sanda Gane European Spa and Hair Studio. They used to have a second location in Cumming. My gift card has both locations listed on it, including the location that is still open including their "still current" Marietta phone number. They are refusing to honor the gift card as they say because it originated at the other location. I don't understand why because it has the open location information on it. I have gotten excuse after excuse, but I feel because the open location is listed on the gift card it should be valid at either location. I have checked the balance using the card's online balance checker and it has a current balance of $85.00 on it. It very well could have came from the Marietta location as I received it as a gift and was just assuming its original purchase place. They told me the two locations are not affiliated. If that is the case, why are both locations listed on the gift card? At this time they are unwilling to resolve the issue. My mother-in-law also has a gift card with both locations listed on it in the amount of $200.00. She also wants to be able to use her card. more

Excellent Juvederm procedure 8/26/2011

This was not my first visit to Sanda Gane, but I have never gone here for Juvederm injections. I was honestly nervous because you really depend on the injector's skills. I am VERY pleased: the nurse practitioner who injected me was Angela. I will be back to try Botox. more

You have to go to this Spa and Salon! 3/2/2011

I've been going to Sanda Gane for over a year now and have had terrific experiences. My facials by Nikki, Candice, and Galina are the best! Karen and Sharon have been my massage therapist -- whom I can not rave enough about. They are awesome!! I love getting my manis and pedis by Kimberly. She has a wonderful attitude all the time -- makes me laugh. She has a true spirit of serving the client/s and always makes you feel important. I began getting my hair cut by Sue about 6 months ago. This is the best cut I have ever had!!!! She has a Phd in the Helix Design. It is a cut that thinks it is a perm. Sue uses curved sheers and a technique that is totally different. It is a free form cut which helps the hair to have memory, movement, and as long as the hair has good elasticity -- the hair will curl and more volumn. I love it because she designs my hair to fit the shape of my face. I love this place. I always feel welcomed by everyone including the receptionists. It gets crazy at the front some times so be patient and put yourself in their shoes when the phones are ringing and people are checking in and out. more

i used to work at sanda gane, please know that our spa is very busy and if you dont get answered when you call the first time, leave a message and someone will call you back. you say that it was impossible to get in touch with a manger, also know that the manager (s) are only in several times a week. keep in mind that the majority of these reviews are bad. hm, wonder why? no one hardly ever goes to write reviews unless they're mad, hard to please anyway, or just spiteful. the only people that wrote good things on here are better people than most anyway. EXPERIENCE US FOR YOURSELF BEFORE YOU LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS!!!!! Pros: friendly, intelligent, well dressed staff Cons: none! more

Beware you may be treated well at first. Worst hair cut ever 6/19/2010

This was my fourth visit. I was treated fine the first few times. Last time my hair was highlighted I was not pleased (you could not see any change in my hair $70 dollars later ) and the stylist said its ok next time you come we w ill add more dramatic color and I will not charge you extra for it. I said that will be fine. So today I went in to get my hair colored and she worked on my hair like normal and at check out I was charged $115 plus the tip. Imaging my surprise so I told her it was not what we agreed to no avail. Later I called the manager she told me it was my fault the charges were added. Also I told the stylist I wanted to grow my hair out and she cut it shorter than my hair has ever been in my life. I get home and got a good look at my hair and again you cannot see the highlights. NEVER go there they treat you well until you are unhappy then you can't even get a return call you have to call over and over to get the manager only to be told it is your fault for the stylist not informing you of a price add ons. Pros: first few visits you are treated ok Cons: $115 for non visible color and bad hair cut more

Great spa atmosphere without going into city 12/1/2009

The staff was very accomodating. I had a facial with Lindsey which was very relaxing. My skin looked great afterward. Noemia did my mani/pedi and it has lasted for five days now with no chips which is rare for red polish. They accomodated my busy schedule by getting me in to see Cindy, the nurse practicioner, even though I did not have an appointment with her. The results I received from the cosmetic procedure I had done by Cindy are great. I was pleased by each of the services I received and I will go back again. Pros: Professional and accomodating staff. Nice atmosphere. Cons: It is pricey, but they appear to run many specials more

Sanda Gane is the best place for Mani/Pedi's! 10/16/2009

Noemia is the best person to go to for your pedicure! I have very sensitive feet and needs special care. After going to countless places and getting pedicures, I have finally found a place who gives me the most for my money and my feet look great! Pros: The Pedicures!! Cons: None yet! more

Sanda Gane is best spa around!!!! 9/19/2009

Galina is the best esthetician around. I go to her regularly to get my eyebrows, upper lip, and full bikini done. I refuse to let anyone else wax me. She does beautiful work with eyebrows, actually taking into account the shape of your face. Her bikini waxing is the best, oddly enough my favorite service here. AND she has even come in early on a Sunday to take care of me! I have been to Lindsey to get a facial and she was great, too! I was having breakout problems and she gave me sacyclic acid products that cleared it right up! I have gotten my haircut at Sanda Gane, as well. It was ok- not the best. Pros: Galina is amazing! Cons: Kind of pricey. more

Hostility from staff when things don't go as planned 9/19/2009

i was injured during a spa wax treatment, and they were quick to blame "my skin type", saying it was too thin & a fragile area anyway (whatever that means). She stopped the treatment, but the entire staff quickly became not so friendly, distancing themselves and still charged me full price. Two days later, i asked for a refund after it became infected, they disagreed and will not even return my phone calls. I have had waxing at other day spas for over 10 years, and never had a problem before now. Pros: quiet spa area Cons: no concern for my injury more

One of Sanda Gane' greatest assets is Lindsey. Her talent, personality and love of her profession makes every visit an outstanding and relaxing experience. I highly recommend the "Sandra's Favorite". It is a great value and Lindsey gives 100%+. Each staff member whom I have encountered at Sanda Gane' have been kind and helpful. They make you feel welcome and appreciated. unfriendly & unprofessional 8/5/2009

Young staff was unfriendly & unprofessional. Too much giggling and gossiping while i was in waiting area. One girl was having an argument on the phone with someone. After inquiring and being told several body services were not offered, i checked the web site to see that they were. I am sure they are ok hairstylists, but the term "day spa" really does not apply here. Pros: clean Cons: unfriendly, acted like they didn't need my business more

I have been to spas all over the world. Who would guess my best experience is right here in Marietta, GA. The people are the friendliest, most knowledgable, easiest to talk to, that I have ever been around. The facial was sensational, the massage was the best. I will definitely be back. I am in love with this spa! My mother got me a facial and manicure for Christmas and I went today to have both. They were running late and didn't start my facial until 30 minutes after my appointment time - which kind of sucked - but they offered me a free pedicure to make up for it. I didn't even have to complain or ask or anything. They just offered it to me out of the blue. The facial was amazing! I was so relaxed afterward. And the mani-pedi was equally awesome. Just an all around great experience! Highly experienced and knowledgeable staff that make you feel at ease and are very easy to have a conversation with. Pros: Experienced staff; great customer service; clean; enjoyable experience Cons: A little pushy with the products and "maintenance" appointments more

My day here was fabulous. My massage with Rickey was one of the best I've ever had. The aesthetician Lindsay who did my facial was wonderful she's so knowledgeable; the products she used were great as well. Awful waxing experience-Girl left wax remover out, right next to oil and said to use it to remove wax...yikes..it was the solution to get the wax off the bowl 8/5/2008

HORRIBLE experience. First time visit to this spa for a bikini wax. My person didn't make me feel too comfortable. When we were finished she said that if there's any wax residue on bikini area, use the baby oil or wax off. On the counter, there were only 2 bottles: 1 being baby oil and the other being a bottle that said...remove wax residue. So, I pour the wax residue bottle in my hand and the consistency was like water. So, I put it down there. And yikes...the burning. I told the therapist and she said...oh my gosh..that's like acetone and it's used to clean the wax residue off the bowl. My "parts" continued to burn so had to rush home and shower. Thankfully I didn't have a reaction, burns, etc. from the event. Crazy to leave something right on top of shelf that I'm supposed to use...... It would be like a bartender leaving a glass of bleach next to another drink. DUMB DUMB. I won't visit here again. Not nice. more
