San Francisco Flower Mart

In the midst of wedding planning, I am furiously trying to figure out ways to make my dollar go further. A friend suggested that I scout out the Flower Mart. I am so glad that I took her advice--this time. A wholesale flower market for people in the business, it is open to the public for limited hours during the day. If you know someone who has a badge, bring them with you so that you can get the better deals, and access more stores. However, I still found some extremely great values even though I'm just a common person. There is a huge variety of beautiful blooming flowers in the different fronts, and there seems to be a current emphasis on orchids in a number of places. Parking can be a bit steep. It's about 75 cents per 15 minutes. If you're lucky, you can grab one of the free two hour spots across the street. more

The San Francisco Flower Mart is the absolute best place to buy flowers in the city. Not many people realize that the general public can purchase flowers at certain times of the day. It not only for vendors and retailers. They have a huge selection of fresh flowers daily. And the prices are actually wholesale prices, so its worth it. Street parking is pretty bad, but they do have their own parking lot that is free for a short period of time. If you want beautiful, inexpensive flowers, then check out the flower mart. more

SF Flower Mart is a wholesale flower shopping area but is opened to the public. You can find just about everything here for a floral arrangement. I take my wife here and she always comes out with a lot of supplies to make her bouquet of flowers. Great discount and supply store and reasonably priced also. more

This is one of the largest flower marts in the Bay Area. They have everything you need to decorate your house or room or office. Beautifully designed floral arrangements. They even have consultants to help you decorate your event. They have many vendors in the mart. Prices are unbelievably low since many of these places are wholesale. Great place to look first if you are looking to decorate. more

The San Francisco Wholesale Flower Mart is absolutely the best place to buy flowers in the Bay Area. Not only do they have the best selection of flowers to choose from but everything is very fresh and fragrant. Everything is separated into bucket so you will need to arrange the flowers yourself. more

Located at the corner of Sixth and Brannan, the SF Wholesale Flower Mart is where most local florists go during the wee hours of the morning to pick up fresh cut flowers, potted plants, blooming plants, and floral supplies. During those times, you need a special badge to enter, make purchases, and get special vendor deals. If you have a florist friend, you can tag along with them, but if you don't, the San Francisco Flower Mart is open to the general public Mon thru Sat from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Even without the special discounts, this is still the best deal in town for fresh cut flowers. This is also a great place to pick up vases and other floral display supplies in bulk for cheap. more
