San Remo Pizzeria & Ristorante

I live in San Carlos and had some friends from Menlo Park come visit on 9/2/07. We had heard San Remo Pizzeria and Ristorante was good, so we headed downtown to enjoy some dinner. Between our two families we had a party of 9, 5 of whom were children. Upon asking for a table, the hostess went back into the kitchen and returned to tell us that they didn't have any tables for a party of our size. Walking past several tables that could easily accommodate us, and I headed to the back to speak with the owner. He said that he didn't serve parties with that many children any longer! I stood there in shock, not believing what I was hearing. I walked out of the restaurant with my one-year old son in my arms blown away at the stupidity. As I walked out, passing several large parties enjoying dinner outside, I just felt sad for the owner's outlook on life. If you support the family, I encourage you not to patronize this business. more

I went here for a Mom's night out and thought the atmosphere was nice and service was good but haven't been motivated to go again because the food wasn't too exciting. However, when you order an entree, salads and even desserts (cannoli) are included! A nice place for a group to go to and socialize. more

This place has decent food and cheap prices, especially on "Ladies Night." Unfortunately, the service is consistently terrible. more
