Something differant 11/10/2008

We had brunch Sunday, service was good, food was hot and was a nice change. Place was cold I think it has a hard time warming up on cold days. We sat in the back by the kitchen it was still cold. Hard to relax when you are freezing. more

Definitely give it another shot. 4/18/2008

I never really had a bad experience there, it just went downhill a bit the last few years. I know they have switched owners/chefs a few times. We tried it again last night after 3 years. The atmosphere is the same, which is a good thing. I had the snapper sandwich and it was great! I would have a hard time trying anything else on the menu knowing how good that sandwich was. The service was pretty good, although I waited a bit to get a 2nd beer. Dessert was great too. The only downfall seemed to be that the menu items (other than sandwiches) are in that $15-$2)+ range. That seems a bit steep, but I did not have one of those entrees, and they may be well worth the price. But, if you gave up on San Pedro a few years ago, definitely give it another shot! Diverse, adventurous menu! 2/21/2008

Love San Ped's! It's one of my favorite restaurants. We go there often with friends or just a deux, and we have never had a bad meal. The cuisine is authentic, adventurous and fresh. The pizzas are pretty awesome, and remind me of pizzas my friend's mom (1st generation Italian) made when I was growing up. Wonderfully diverse, spicy pasta options too. I'm working my way through the menu, and loving it. more

Great location, food & reason to visit Hudson 2/16/2006

One of our favorite restaurants anywhere, except this little place in Tuscany . . . Just about anything on the menu is great - appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee, etc. My wife wishes they'd bring back the Shrimp St Croix, but they've replaced it with several new menu items that rock. Nice blend of flavors in most dishes. The spicy dishes have just enough heat to make them interesting. Sit at the high counter in front of the open kitchen to watch the chef - unless you have trouble making up your mind, you'll change it a dozen times. had a GREAT time! 10/25/2004

I just recently visited San Pedro Cafe in Hudson, WI and had a really good time. The restaurant is a cozy little place that serves DELICIOUS food! It was my birthday and they treated my so well. I highly recommend the Chicken Nachos for an appetizer, the Asiago Grouper for dinner and DO save room for their famous Chocolate Chili Cake. I'll go back again and again! We will not return to an old favorite 8/15/2003

Summary: 3:00 pm We waited for five minutes before greeted. After being seated, waitress gave us menus then forgot about us for 20 minutes. Food was slow to arrive. The food was great, but when it came time to pay the bill we presented our Entertainment Coupon that was ""valid any time"" She stated the new owners were not accepting this coupon on weekends. The manager simply offered a complementary dessert, which we declined. Our coupons value was $16.00, and the reason we chose this restaurant. This experiance was one that has caused us to steer clear of a return visit. We felt there should have been a note on the door or menu explaining their change in coupon acceptance. Food was excellent great menu. Most of the tables you sit on a stool at. Not the most comfortable. They do have ~3 sit down tables. Lots of hustle and bustle and you get to have everyone waiting for a table watch you finish. Pros: Food, Menu Cons: Atmosphere, Crowded more

We've been to San Pedro Cafe 3 times this summer and every time it has been great! We love the brushcetta for an appetizer as well as the chips and pico de gallo. All of the entrees are wonderful. We've had great shrimp and steak entrees. Dinners come with salad and great bread and usually fresh, grilled veggies, but my absolute favorite are the banana mashed potatoes...YUM! This place has great food and only a few min from St Paul and easy to get to. Service was decent. Food good and tastes authentic-ish. Seating sucked though. Place is too small. Awesome desserts. more
