Penny is the best!

Don't believe the Google review from Jennifer Baz, she works for works for Encore, and has put up the same fake review for all Encore parks! I always worry when the only really go...

Love to go for walks here 3/25/2011

A nice walk on beach is close by. more

Very helpful 3/22/2011

If you love being near the ocean, you cant beat this... it is well maintained, has clean, remodeled bathrooms, nice showers.. The office staff was VERY helpful when we checked in. As we were parking I noticed a guy going around picking up stuff, small pieces of trash, mainly cigarette butts.. wow! That is attention to detail. more

Breathtaking 3/18/2011

Spectacular!!! The view makes it all worth it! There are picnic tables and a place to set up chairs to enjoy the incredible ocean view. The sunset was amazing. The park was quiet and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I will definitely come back to this park again and again! more

Our new favorite spot in SF 3/16/2011

Come to San Francisco twice a year. Used to stay at Candlestick RV Park, but it has changed its pet policy and the neighborhood at Candlestick is known for gang violence and other nefarious activities. In our first stay at San Francisco RV Resort in Pacifica, we could not be more pleased. All staff were friendly and helpful and eager to please. They were busy painting the exterior and interiors of park buildings, but the park was clean and quiet. Very clean laundry and restrooms. We feel much safer here than in Candlestick and the view can't be beat. Finally, the entire park is pet friendly as long as you follow leash rules and clean up after the pooch. Nice, scenic drive into San Francisco (20 minutes in normal traffic). This is our new favorite spot in the SF area. Be sure to request an oceanfront site! more

Can't beat the ocean view 3/9/2011

Cannot beat the ocean view: it is worth every penny. Park is spotless. Spots are all black top. Cable TV is good (HBO). Free WiFi: strong signal. Short walk to little town of Pacifica. Pacifica is very handy: post office, Safeway, mom and pop bakery, decent chinese restaurant, Walgreen's, organic store and more all in a tidy 3 or 4 block town. We camped here in a Motorhome. more

Excellent 3/8/2011

Excelent. Bus and Train to San Francisco is easy here. more

The best in San Francisco 3/2/2011

The place is clean, spaces are mostly level, they have restrooms, showers, pool, jacuzzi, a little store, all that. WiFi is available for about 5 bucks a day, and is reliable anywhere in the park. They have free coffee, and that's nice. No, it's not Starbucks, but it's free. The folks behind the counter are friendly, and helpful. We pulled in two hours before we could set up, and they let us park in an open place till the trailer in 'our' spot, packed up and left. They could have sent us to the Safeway down the street, and let us wait there. If you're on the 'beach' end, they put trailers butt first, and Class A and C, front first. Why? Two reasons. One, trailers usually have a back window to look out, and motorhomes only have front windows to look out. Yeah, you look right out at the ocean. 'Beach Front' sites cost a little more, but to us, it's worth it! We've stayed here in the general populace places, and you can only hear the ocean. Spend the money for the beach front sites, it's totally worth it. I could NEVER give 5 stars to a parking lot, no matter how nice it was. That's me. As I type this, I'm watching surfers and seagulls. enjoy your stay at SF RV Resort. more

Best place 2/22/2011

We have stayed here twice. While the campground itself is crowded and somewhat like a parking lot, it is right on the bluff. I particularly enjoyed watching whales from the front seat of my motorhome. If you love to gaze at the ocean, this is the best place we've found to camp. more

Can't beat this 2/16/2011

If you love being near the ocean, you cant beat this... it is well maintained, has clean, remodeled bathrooms, nice showers.. The office staff was VERY helpful when we checked in. As we were parking I noticed a guy going around picking up stuff, small pieces of trash, mainly cigarette butts.. wow! That is attention to detail. Its quiet, the people seem respectful, not “trailer parky” at all to me.. No beach access, due to erosion, but construction plans are in the works.. were told a nice walk on beach is close by.. Is it a RESORT?? I don’t know, probably not, but is sure is a retreat for us.. one drawback is the spaces are narrow, we had space to extend the slide outs and could have our awning out if we wanted, but its pretty breezy, and it is November! more

Super accomodating 2/16/2011

Prior to my trip I checked yelp and there were many average reviews, some that just blasted the place and others that were sort of favorable. It could be that I had incredibly low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised and had a great trip. We were blessed with sunny gorgeous weather Memorial Day weekend - probably not the norm. We had a pull through spot which was the second one back from the oceanfront row. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but there were always people in there when we walked by. My husband did take my son over to the little playground/play structure area and did mention it could use a little work/updating. I walked through the laundry area and it seemed as though they had many available machines. I had contact with the office twice before I arrived, because at first we thought we had to change the dates of our trip. They were super accomodating. I then called back and told them it was still on for the original reservation dates and the woman Dorothy that I dealt with with super helpful and friendly. Before we left we checked availability for an oceanfront spot for 4th of July and surprisingly were able to get the last one. I really think that is key. The view is amazing and there is a little path that you can walk on in front of the RV's that face the ocean. I think if we were staying far in the back, I would definitely feel that the place was just a large parking lot. The word "resort" does have a different connotation, especially with all the new RV resorts that are popping up with brand new buildings and have work out equipment and massages. Generally speaking I don't utilize those types of amenities when I camp. So for me this place was just right. I didn't try the public transportation, as we had our own car, and were able to get into the city within minutes and if you are interested in going to the zoo its even closer. Definitely get an ocean front spot or at least close if you can. If you put a little table out and a couple chairs its the perfect spot to drink wine, read, rela more
