Best

This mostly in response to Earl E. Retirement (must be nice). I?m a member, with a child in swim lessons, and I know the Club did not dismiss this instructor w/out just cause. I...

Worst

Beautiful but small. The dues aren't cheap so fresh towels and classes such as yoga should be included in the base monthly fee but they're not. The classes are also very limited...

Scam Artists 1/15/2010

We could not have been more disappointed with the Sammamish Club. Another reviewer mentioned the great aquatics, which was the exact reason we joined the club. They had an amazing swimming instructor, and the only way to have lessons with this instructor was to join the club. The truth is we were paying about $100/month for a club we never used, in addition to the costs of the lessons, but we asked and they said this was our only option to get the swimming lessons. Here's the kicker though: After all of this, they fired our swimming instructor and replaced her with some teen aged kid in the middle of the session. We told them we were not interested in the new instructor, and that that we wanted to cancel our membership. Their response was that we would have to pay them another $250, as we had several months remaining on our contract. Here's the email response: "When someone joins the Sammamish Club we assume that they are going to taking part in the full membership experience. It is unfortunate that a choice has been made to discontinue (your) membership however, when (you) signed on to the Club (you) selected a preferred membership. If (you) had selected a regular month-month membership then the termination would be a simple 30 day notice. I am not certain why (you) selected this type of membership but maybe more consideration should have been given to the agreement? Hmmmmm, let me think about that. If only we had the insight to know you were going to fire the instructor we joined the club for, we never would have made such a dumb decision. This was quite an expensive lesson for us. more

Poor management and service for families 9/12/2006

Sammamish Club has a policy against kids using swimming equipments unless you sign up for their classes. Their policy is arbitrary and discriminatory at many times. Some of their showers and lockers are broken and towels are dirty at times. If you are going to swim with your child, but not going to take their swim lessons, pass on them. Shame on them! They were kids once. Not recommended for families!!!" more

the BEST health club in Issaquah 8/17/2005

This is definitely the best health club in Issaquah. And one of the best ones on the whole Eastside! Converted from the previous Issaquah Tennis Academy, the club looks very clean, bright and inviting. Within its 60,000 sq. foot facility, you will find an indoor swimming pool, 4 tennis courts, a 32-foot indoor climbing rockwall, a group exercise room, plenty of cardiovascular machine, a weight room, sauna, steam rooms and even a kid's club! While the single membership is kind of pricey,($100) you will get a better value getting the family membership. more
