Guys are not going to feel comfortable in this romper room decorated studio that discusses the direction of nipples and massages the barebelly of pregnant women. I am so disturbed...

Best Yoga in the Metro Dallas area 5/21/2008

I have been with Suze Curtis for two years now, and I would drive from downtown Dallas to Addison in the midst of any traffic jam just to make her classes! Have tried plenty of yoga studios in the metro but none compare to the Dynamic Yoga experience. \r Classes are challenging at any level of yoga practice, there is a holistic approach as well as the opportunity for you to expand in a guided environment, all things I have come to love!\r more

Best total fitness workout around. 5/21/2008

These yoga classes are simply the BEST. They bring you to a new level of fitness in conjunction with self acceptance. Suze has been a true inspiration to me. She is compassionate, caring, articulate and her classes get ""into your stuff"" meaning stiff, tight, weak areas of the body are awakened and healed through consistent practice. more

Best Hot Yoga Studio in Dallas 5/21/2008

Excellent owner, teachers and classes. The best workout available in great atmosphere. Inspired yoga instructors and wonderful owner, Suze Curtis. more

A gift for yourself 5/21/2008

Suze has created an environment in the studio that slowly stretches my mind - creating a sense of self value and appreciation while I am inspired to also stretch my body in ways that heal and rejuvenate me. Not only has my figure and posture benefited from the challenging and strengthening ""exercise/practice"" but I have prospered as a person and in my career. Suze herself is quite an inspiration -beautiful to look at because she is committed to the practice, teachings and evolution of her own spirit and yet she remains grounded, humble and compassionate. Give yourself the gift of her class...it will transform you in every positive way. Pros: The environment, teacher and fellow students are all exceptional Cons: Arriving at the last minute cn mean a tight squeeze more

You can do it! 5/21/2008

Age was catching up to me! I was creaky in the mornings. Friends & coworkers were having back, knee, hip and shoulder problems. Pains, surgery and physical therapy were constant topics of conversation. So I jumped at the chance to try an ""awesome"" yoga class. It was and is an awesome class! The atmosphere is accepting, encouraging and problem solving. If you can't do it one way, there are other ways to try. If you need to rest, then do so and then rejoin. Do what you can and you will do better as time goes on. I have been going about twice a week for 18 months. The work is challenging, ever changing and rejuvenating. Results were felt almost immediately. The creakiness was the first to go, my posture and balance have improved. I feel more core strength and of course I am more flexible. Just do it! Pros: Choice of classes, Instructor support Cons: Occasionally a crowded class more

Best Yoga Studio 5/21/2008

I have been practicing Yoga at Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! for over 7 years and I love it! I trained for the Half Rock half marathon by my yoga practice. I had not run in over 20 years and I only ran 6 or 7 times before the race with the longest run being 4 miles. I completed the race in 2:22. more

It feels like home......just warmer 5/21/2008

I have been a student at Suze's for over a year now and look forward to every class I attend. From the moment you walk in and are greeted to when you walk back out everyone makes you feel like family. There are almost 100 classes a month to attend and each one has its own challenges. Having never taken a Yoga class before walked in to my first class I have been guided, motivated and instructed not just on my structure and pose but on discovering myself. It is an amazing studio to be a part of and I recommend it to everyone from beginners to seasoned experts. It never matters if Suze herself is teaching or one of her amazing instructors ( or transformers as she likes to call them) you always leave feeling better then when you walked in. Thank you Suze for such a wonderful studio!\r Pros: Value!Convinience, staff, atmosphere Cons: none for me. more

BEST full body workout from Power Yoga - Makes you LOOK and FEEL great! 5/21/2008

When I discovered Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! over 9 years ago, I was struggling with physical limitations from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was emotionally down on myself because I was not able to exercise and ?be on the go? all the time like I used to. I was in pain and tired all the time?I felt like I was not able to ?give? to those most important to me: my husband and my twin girls. Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! helped me get my ?active? life-style back and I was able to cut my arthritis medications in half! Not only did I overcome my physical limitations but emotionally I am now better able to deal with the reality of my disease. I am healthier and happier than I ever thought I could be! My relationship with my husband is so much better and my girls have their Mom back!\r \r I tried several other yoga studios in the area but none fit my expectations of an overall workout or my ?personality?. Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! allows me to get a very vigorous total body workout, it motivates me to push past the ?discomfort? to create something new and exciting, and helps me ?let go? of my old ?stuff??..All in an atmosphere of encouragement and inspiration! I would highly recommend Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! to everyone ? no matter your age or fitness level?.especially anyone with arthritis who thought they could no longer ?get a good workout?. You should just go try it out for yourself!\r Pros: Great overall workout - both Physical and emotional; Knowledgeable and Engaging Teachers; Ambience; Great value compared to cost of other studios in area Cons: Hot yoga can take some time to get used to; traditional yoga enthusiasts may not like heat and fast pace more

Great overall workout for body and mind! 5/21/2008

I started with Suze's yoga classes last Spring, but fell out of touch with it for many months and re-joined last Fall. I immediately noticed a change in not only my body, but my overall mental health. I felt very comfortable in the classes and never felt intimidated by more experienced yogis. All of the instructors are very helpful with giving personal attention and ensuring each person is doing the pose correctly. I would highly recommend this studio if you want to try power yoga! Pros: Helpful & friendly instructors, great ambiance, great results! Cons: Sometimes Suze's weekend classes are very packed, but a great way to start the day!! more

Friendly environment, great workout! 5/21/2008

Invited to visit Suze's studio by a friend, I agreed to find out for myself this amazing transition she assured me I would experience from Suze's practice. After my initial visit which included feelings of nausea and dizziness, I wondered what had I gotten myself into (lol). But with Suze's nuturing encouragement and support, I could feel emotional and physical change was possible and committed to practice three times a week. I am amazed at the change in my practice from where I started to where I am now, just a year later, and rave about Suze and her power yoga to every one I know. If the world had more ""Suzes"", what a wonderful world this would be! more

Yoga at its best 5/21/2008

Suze's classes are a great way to learn how to take your yoga practice to the next level and learn about yourself. The ""fringe"" benefits are a great workout and strength building I didn't expect. more

Much More Than A Workout.... 5/21/2008

I spend a lot of time taking care of other people, to the point that ""I"" get lost in the shuffle. The great thing about Suze's is that she and each of her instructors reiterate all thru class that your time on your mat is about taking care of yourself for a change, and believe it or not, taking care of myself is something I have to be reminded to do. This studio is about spiritual, emotional, and physical health, not just whether you're getting the pose right. Suit up, show up, and do the best you can do on that day, in that moment. It's all about SELF at Suze's--discovering it, recharging it, and taking that growth out in the world with you when leave. more

Best yoga around 5/21/2008

I have been at Suze's for a year and a half and benefitted tremendously. After years of practicing yoga, I had never experienced so much growth physically, mentally, and emotionally as I have since joining Suze's. I immediately saw a transformation in my physical appearance and feel so much more of a connection between mind and body. The studio itself is warm and welcoming and Suze and the teachers are encouraging and inspiring. Suze's offers an awesome practice for yogis of all levels and a style that is unique, unlike anywhere else I've been. Pros: variety of class times, teachers, warm atmosphere more

Best Yoga Anywhere 5/21/2008

I began my journey with DPYP in 1998. Even though they have grown, they have always felt like a small family each time I walk in for a class. The routines are a great balance of strength and flexibility. With the variety of the routines and the level of instruction, you will never get tired of going to classes. Whether you have never done yoga, or have been doing it for years, DPYP is a great place to go.\r more

Yoga saved my life -- really 5/21/2008

Suze Curtis always says -- 'You're as young as your spine'. Well, I recently suffered a broken back in a serious fall. The neurosurgeon was amazed that I was not paralyzed. I'm convinced that years of DPYP strengthened my spine and muscles and prevented the broken vertebrae from damaging or severing my spinal cord. I'm still on the mend, but everything works. Doctor says no more 'full wheel pose', but with Suze's help I plan to prove him wrong. Pros: Consistent, high quality workout more

Best workout for body and mind 5/21/2008

I always got the best workout and felt like a million bucks when I left there. I had hip problems and after going consistently to class I was able to have more movement without discomfort. If you are in a bad mood when you get there you will not be when you leave. The heat helps to warm up tight muscles and soothes aching joints. more

Strength, Flexibilty and Cardio = great workout !! 5/21/2008

I've been attending Suze's Dynamic Power Yoga Plus studio for many years and absolutely love the results when I am consistent with my workouts. Suze has created an environment for yogees of all levels; no matter who you are, what you do and how long you've practiced (or not); you will see results with regular practice. What I love the most is that her workouts allow me to practice strength, flexibility and some cardio - it's not a workout unless I sweat and I sweat tons in this class. It obviously works, look at her; Suze is amazing and a great testament of focus and determination plus she is very, very encouraging. I plan on continuing my practice there as long as I can manage to breath :) more

Best yoga I have ever been to! 5/21/2008

These yoga classes are perfect for all body types, athletic abilities, and lifestyles. I have been going to Suze's class for several years (off and on due to work scheduling) and have to say, I am always at my strongest (both physically and mentally) when I practice regularly. The energy in this studio is fantastic! I have tried several other studios around town, and while they are good in one area, nothing beats the all-around workout I get here. Any level (extreme beginner to seasoned yogi) will benefit from this studio! It is both fun and challenging...and you will always walk out of the class with the feeling that you came away with something good. Everytime you get on your mat here, you grow and allow yourself to be *that* much stronger. I am not saying the class is easy...cause it isn't! But that is what makes it so addictive. The first few classes will be a struggle, and you might feel awkward, but as you come back...and the amazing way your body and soul feel...you start to notice your balance, strength and breath is stronger and more focused. The room is warm, but not as hot as Bikram...and you WILL get your heart rate up here. Try it. Once you do, you will probably become addicted! Pros: environment, amenities, people, sessions, schedules, support, growth Cons: I don't get to go as much as I would want! more

Retrain the brain 5/21/2008

I've been going to Suze's Dynamic Power Yoga for a number of years and can say that it is one of the best workouts you can experience. After a practice, I realize the many different muscles used in yoga that are not even touched in my traditional workout of running or the elliptical machine. One of the best 'mantras' that I have gotten from this class is 'being comfortable in an uncomfortable situation'. In learning this technique, it is something that will transcend your life. HIGHLY recommended this studio! more

Most awesome yoga experience ever 5/21/2008

I saw an ad for Suze's Dynamic Power Yoga - The only workout you'll ever need, and I thought 'hum, really?' Having been a sports advocate my entire life - everything from competitive swimming to running five miles a day - I thought yoga was merely for meditation and relaxation. Boy, was I wrong. \r \r I also have a motto of 'I must try everything once' - which has also resulted in two back surgeries. That's another story, but it resulted in me having three screws and a plate drilled into three vertebrae in my neck and four titanium cages drilled into two of my vertebrae in my lower back. All I have to say now is 'Thank the universe for Suze!'\r \r I've been a member now for seven years and love every class. That's the best part of Suze's - there are so many different classes that are taught. It never gets boring. And, you sweat your a$$ off - literally. All I can say is 'What are you waiting for? Get your a$$ to Suze's!' Pros: Thumbs up! more

  • Founded by Suze Curtis in 1996, this time-proven, unique practice blends the power of asana with vibration. Practiced in 88-95 degrees, this discipline incorporates breath, alignment, power vinyasa flow with internal toning - a soft hummmmm during YIN stretches. The healing power of sound vibration is reflected in the thousands of testimonies from our students over 18+ years.

This very popular 75-Minute practice features "call-outs" - a strong foundation to ensure quality practice flow. Instructors have freedom to focus fully on all students -encouraging, guiding, adjusting, inspiring. Students love that every class is consistent in sequencing, timing and instructor-attention.

Whether you desire to be challenged physically, relieve stress, or courageously face "your stuff" -you'll leave this practice glowing, stress-free & totally-energized!
