Best in Seattle 7/17/2009

My husband and I have gone to many Italian restaurants in Seattle but we always come back to Salvatores. The service is always exceptional - Steve is our favorite waiter - and the food is excellent. Salvatore is there most Friday and Saturday nights cooking in the back. It is a great place and the staff act like family. more

I went here for my birthday with 12 friends and it was amazing. The wine, food, service all 5 star. If you're looking for a place to have a special moment or even just a great experience this is the place. Its one of my favorites! more

Authentic Italian all around 5/3/2006

Salvatore's is the kind of Italian restaurant that transports you back to that wonderful land of Italy. To begin with the environment is made with bricks, or made to look like bricks, the kind of bricks you might have seen in Sienna or Assisi. Their is a map of Italy made out of corks, and lovely photos of people and places from all over Italy. The lovely efficient waiter's thick Italian accent is wonderful. His knowledge of the region's wines, his presentation of the menu and evenings specials, make you wish he could just sit down and talk all night! Finally there is the magnificent food! All tasty, beautifully prepared, presented and shared to everyone's satisfaction. Do yourself a favor and transport yourself to Italy by making a special evening out at Salvatore's. more

salvatore, salvatore, salvatore 4/11/2006

Went to salvatore last night and I have to say that this a gem of an italian restaurant on Roosevelt Ave in the U district of Seattle. I think their pizzas are the best in town...though be warned it's not a pizza joint. It's a somewhat pricey italian joint that happens to serve the best thin crust pizza in town. Definately worth going there. I like the waiter with the real italian accent. more

Salvatore is Italian Heaven 6/27/2005

This restaurant is consistently the best Italian food I've ever had, and the owner and staff are some of the nicest service people I've ever met. You can become a regular pretty quickly. My favorite waiter has a delightfully ambiguous accent and can talk me into anything. Salvatore himself can be spotted perusing the tables and chatting you up - he's given us free appetizers or desserts on more than one ocassion. Their staple menu isn't to be ignored, however they always have rotating and fresh specials you shouldn't pass up (especially the wild boar spinach pasta). Location is handy and parking is a breeze. more
