We went to Taste of Texas on a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon, early at 6pm and after driving around the parking lot for several minutes found the wait to be two hours. We drove down the Katy Fwy to Salt Grass and were seated immediately. The Angus steaks were excellent. I have eaten at T of Tx many times and the steaks are no better than Salt Grass. It is a smaller restaurant. It is decorated ala Hill Country chic. The prices are comparable. There was a full crowd in the lobby when we left, so get there early.
Pros: Excellent steaks, priced accordingly
Cons: Young wait staff, loud
