Pepper and Salt is a good authentic place to go for lunch or to grab something to eat. They do charge kind of a high price for their food and it tastes okay but I have tasted better. The service, although, is quick and the people are very friendly. Another plus is that the restaurant is kept very neat and clean unlike other authentic places. more

Pakistani or Indian food in schaumburg 3/10/2006

This place did catering for my friends wedding. They did an okay job. I think a restaurant like Sabri for Indian or Pakistani food could have done better, but this is an okay chioce too. They had a simple menu, with some chinese sort of dishes. Overall, I think they needed a little bit more spice to their food and their biryani was lacking in taste majorly. The restaurnat, if you want to go in and eat, is not too great. Better place to carry out. more

Score Some Quick Indian Dishes 8/14/2005

Although the owner is Pakistani, the fare is cooked Indian style, particularly the way food was prepared in old Delhi. It's a prototype fast-food restaurant, if there is such a thing for Indian food. Meaning, it's not a typical sit-down restaurant. I've had carry-out as well as sit in food here. The owner is nice and the cook is skilled at certain dishes. His preparations include a wide variety of chicken and vegetarian dishes. Try the butter chicken or Seekh Kebab. You will not be disappointed. The service is quick and friendly and the food is good at very reasonable rates. more
