Ken, the owner of this salon, performed what he claimed to be the renowned Brazilian Blowout on my hair and lied to me multiple times when I asked him repeatedly if the treatment he was giving me was the actual Brazilian Blowout brand (Brazilian Blowout dot com). He told me he knew the owner of the line and had met him several times. I knew something wasn't right when he wasn't following the steps of the real BB treatment, which I had researched beforehand. My hair ended up being very damaged and the keratin treatment they used did not even work on my hair. I am a Caucasian with slightly naturally curly hair! When I called the salon a week later to discuss the matter, he had no time to talk to me and I had to call back a few times before another stylist, Monica, incompetently explained to me that "It's like going to a restaurant, ordering a Coke and getting a Pepsi." This is fraudulent and I hope they don't get away with it. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. The salon gave me what they deemed a "refund" of $29. I paid $120! I will never return to this salon and I will do everything in my power to make sure everyone I know is informed about their shady practices and lying owner. more

I tried Salon Cheveux last year in trying to find a good hairstylist in Elk Grove. I gave this place a shot and will have to say that I will not go back. Ken colored and cut my hair. Since summer was around the corner I asked for a lighter brown but my hair turned out really dark brown almost black. And with my haircut, it was sooo uneven. It was just like cutting my hair in front and sides to half. My hair was halfway down my back. So, imagine the front & sides was just cut straight. Very awkward looking. He didn't make it even blend together. I thought somebody else was going to finish my cut but he just moved on to another customer and one of people just started to dry my hair. Yes, the people are nice but I expect to have a good haircut. They attempt to look upscale but haircuts and service are the dumps. Pros: clean Cons: bad haircut more

I have gotten my hair cut by Monica and Monique and they are great! They're super friendly and never disappoint. I always look forward to coming here, dont know what the other bad reviewers are talking about with the massages but for haircuts I definately recommend Salon Cheveux! I too purchase certificates for Salon Cheveaux back June. What a huge disappointment this has turned out to be for me and my daughters. I was so amazed by this offer that I ended up buying 3 certificates for me and my two daughters, thinking that I could provide them with beauty services we could normally never be able to afford. This shop has a massage therapist and esthetician that call out sick all the time. Me and my daughters have been cancelled and rebooked multiple times and even cancelled without notice. I called to verify my appt for my facial for today and was told that the esthetician had just called in sick 10 minutes prior to my phone call. On a good note, the hair stylist, Monica who has worked there for number of years does excellent work!! But, as far as I can tell...all the other services offered there are very disappointing. I hope the owner realizes what he has done allowing the marketing company to sell so many certificates for a salon that could not handle the work load! $130 wasted Pros: Monica is great Cons: very inconvenient more

I bought a 5 Visit promo thing and only got 3 of the 5 visits. The first 2 visits I received phone reminders the day before the next 3 i did not. and i caught on to why not... they dont want people showing up..they are overbooked. When they told me the wrong day and time for my apt, they would not reschedule and the Manager never called me back (called twice). The staff is rude and not helpful what so ever. Makeup made my face break out and the eyebrow wax irratated my skin. I feel totally scammed on this purchase and would never do it again nor reccommend this place to anyone. This is mainly written as a response to the negative, and childish, review from "anekkat". If you had a bad experience it is, of course, your right to post it. However the calling of the massage therapist "trailer trash" in the review is both unnecessary and irrelevant and makes the entire review useless. As a client of the massage therapist in question (Michelle) I can report that she is a well educated, highly trained, skillful and nurturing massage therapist and person. She never makes you feel uncomfortable, rushed or unappreciated. She is excellent about making sure that any physical problems or challenges that you have are taken into account. As an example, because I broke my back at one point, it makes it difficult for me to lay face down for a massage. Michelle does part of the massage with me on one side, then the other. She is focused on her client getting the very best experience possible and I highly recommend her. Pros: Great Staff Cons: Popularity can make getting appointments hard more

My husband purchased a gift certificate from Salon Cheveux for prepaid services which included five visits. Myhfirst appt was made for a massage three weeks in advance. They canceled the appt the day of the appt without notifying me and then had an attitude with me for being upset that they did not notify and wasting my time as I had other appts I had canceled that day to attend the appointment. The massage therapist Michelle called stating she had other clients who paid more than my gift certificate was worth so their business was more important to her and could fit me in when she could fit me in even though they canceled my appt the day of without notice. I took it knowing I would go to another salon to get services and then get a call from a so called "attorney" representing Michelle from Salon Cheveux canceling the appt she just set one day prior to make up the original appt which was also canceled. I highly doubt this trailer trash broad has an attorney it was probably the owner of the salon who also refused to call me back and hear my complaint about their services or her trailer trash boyfriend or something. This issue has just begun it's by far not completed as I will get my money back and don't care what needs to be done to get it and will continue to let ALL know that this place is the worst place in Elk Grove you can go to for any salon services. When you find someone selling their gift certificates pass them up and say no thanks, all of their employees are rude and have absolutely no idea what customer service is. I had an bad experience else where so I saw the salon driving by and stopped in just to check out the place. I had to ask a bunch of questions, in no way I was gonna go thru the same problem again. They were very helpful, someone was able to get me in and do my hair. Honestly I was worried at first but my hair came out better than how I originally wanted. I loved it! The staff was so friendly and helpful i'm faithful customer now! Pros: Staff was great, very comfortable Cons: Not in a very big shopping area more
