Salon Blu

Went to see Amy today. My daughter wanted a dark blond look and she said since her hair was already dyed it will get damaged. She kept comparing my daughter to her hair which was clearly thicker and darker. I told her four times that the hair has been lighten before nicely she than spoke in cirlces asking me to choose different color and than she said she would not do anything because it would not get lighter and will damage and went on and on about extentions. She said even if her hair was not dyed she would recommend the same thing but she was the one that we spoke to a few months ago that said she thinks the blonde would look great which it did but it was only ombre style(half the hair). Anyway it was such a waste of time. My daughter finally got her hair done somewhere else and got the color she wanted and it looks beautiful. We had to travel 20 minutes but it was worth it. She clearly did not what to do, she did not know what she was doing and and just wasted everyones time. By the way the place looks like it needs a serious cleaning. The chairs are gross , hair everywhere. They seem to need to keep up with getting the place look presentable. Awfull place do not recommend. more

the stylist are all newbys. you won't find anyone there who has been doing hair for more than 5 years. (Even the manager) all they do is wow you with cool decor and try to shock you with their edgy clothes and hair, meanwhile, they are all armatures who are practically just practicing on you. then they charge you even if you hate your cut. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! more

I had two haircuts at the Salon Blu at Briar Creek and the first one was passable, but the second one was absolutely terrible. Very uneven, really chopped up. Maggie was the hair stylist and I would never go back. I went for another haircut at another salon about two weeks after that bad haircut and got a very good haircut. more

I have been all over Raleigh looking for a Salon that meets my needs on every level. Salon Blu was an answer to my prayers. Jamie has been my stylist for over a year now and I must say she has never let me down. Jamie is very easy to talk to and she keeps the conversation going while staying attentive to your needs. I always walk out of there with a renewed confidence in myself and a feeling of money well spent. I highly recommend Jamie at Salon Blu. You won't regret it . more

The haircuts though, were not so wonderful. I had the best haircut of my life there. . . and then that stylist left. After that, things just went downhill! Sorry! Still, if you want to enjoy the funky decor, it really is worth a look. Spotlighted sinks, booming music, and interesting color schemes. This is the place to get an 'edgy' haircut. Beware though, edgy doesn't always equate with professional . . . especially not in the South. more
