I'm not sure who the last reviewer goes to but everytime I've been to Salon Matarazzo I always get a great cut and I've seen a couple of different people there. I have only seen Holly twice, but both times I have left extremely happy! I spent over 4 years trying to find a colorist who actually did what I wanted, and knows what they are doing. She not only listened to what I envisioned, but also gave me her advice on what would look best! She pays attention to detail and is very knowledgable, honest and talented. I highly recommend her! Are these reviews for real??? 10/9/2005

I have been to this salon twice and never found any of the stylists to be above average. They are a pricey east side salon with less than Seattle or eastside talent. I get the feeling over half of these reviews are phony. It is interesting to me that almost every review uses the same sentence structure and punctuation. Regardless, stylists are often running late, I always feel rushed and well my hair is never anything to write home about. After my last visit in September I decided not to attend when a friend of mine told me my hair cut looked so eighties! Charming. Pros: Easy to get an appt. Cons: Dated cuts, expensive more

Satisfied customer for 8 years 10/6/2005

I've been going to Holly for cuts/color for 8 years. I always look and feel better when I leave. I get lots of compliments on my hair and always refer them to Holly. I enjoy our girl talk, the relaxed unstuffy atmosphere and soothing decor. I don't know what I would do without Holly! Her haircuts are always fresh. Happy customer, Maria Kosanke more

Erik does such a great job and never gets flustered with me especially when I am being difficult! He even cuts my bangs for free! And the girls at the front desk are cute and fun and I always look forword to chatting with them when I come in! Thanks Jillian! more

Probably overrated 9/30/2005

I like Salon Matarazzo because it is a convenient location for me. I cannot say I have ever had an amazing or incredible hair cut or color here but they do a decent job an the staff is really nice. I think one of the other reasons I continue to go there is because I know they will not mess my hair up. I think they are a little overpriced for what you get but they can probably get away with the prices since they are in Bellevue. It isn't that they are bad because I trust they will do a decent job but I never walk away feeling like I have had a grat hair cut by a really experienced or creative stylist. I found her by the reviews on city search, and she did a great job. The price was not cheap, and my hair looks the best ever. I have had so many people tell me how great my hair looks and it does! You will love her if you go see her. And your hair will look the best it ever has also. more

Forget 7,Matarazzo is a 10! W@W 9/1/2005

Erik suggested something no one else has: something natural! Not big crazy chunks of white blonde or black with red tips! He gave me my best color yet! Beautiful golden blonde highlights over my cinnamon colored hair. I'am loving it so much. Thank you! I enjoyed my entire experience so much! Everyone was nice and I can not wait to come back for a hair cut! Pros: close to lots of stuf, near mall Cons: busy parking lot more

Best Salon on the Eastside!! 8/28/2005

I have been going to Salon Matarazzo for 15 years and I see Ron for my hair cut and Holly for an all over color. One of those years I was living in Dallas, TX but I still traveled back to Seattle every 6 weeks to get my hair done with Ron and Holly (that's how good they are). They are both EXCELLENT in their field and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great salon with friendly (and funny) staff. Chloe Brenden-AMAZING COLOR 7/8/2005

I highly recommend her highlights. Having dark brown hair, its very hard to find the right mixture of colors to avoid the skunk look. She was very informative on what colors would work well with my natural hair color, and did exactly what she explained. She blended a mix of cinnamon, gold, and light brown, and it looks great! I have never had so many complements on my hair. People I dont know come up to me and ask were I had my hair done. Chloe also gave a very thorough explanation of what kind of products would work best with my hair to achieve the style I was going for. Though I was slightly hesitant on purchasing the products she recommended, I was amazed at the salon quality hair styles I now can do at my own home. more

Thank goodness for Danielle. I came to the salon after reading the reviews on citysearch, and saw Danielle for color. She did an excellent job on my hair! It has been hard finding a stylist I can trust and feel that they care about my wants and needs. She gave me a honest and direct opinion about my hair, and it looks great. Not to mention, feels great! more

Well, I believe the hype! Eric gave me a great color with no bs! He added subtle highlights and warmed up my color so it looked more natural and made my old chunks smaller. (I had chunky foils from 7) Now I feel classy and put together. I work with guys and they say it makes me look more softer. I will be back! Thanks more

DANIELLE was great! I had a color and foil and it was the BEST ever. I travel alot and have been to several high end hair salons, and I will tell you that DANIELLE is right up their with the best of them!!!! She is fast, creative, funny, and verry detailed. very disappointing 5/11/2005

Because of these high ratings I made an appointment with the stylist everbody is talking about but I was very disappointed. During the whole appointment I felt very uncomfortable. The stylist hardly talked to me and he didn't really listen to me. I asked him for new ideas regarding my hair cut but he just said it looks good what I have right now. He made a very unmotivated, lazy impression on me and the whole consultation just took 30 seconds. I felt unappreciated as a new customer and I am sure at the end of the appointment he didn't even remember my name. What he did (cut and color) was just average and didn't convince me at all - I wouldn't go back there. Pros: stylish salon Cons: arrogant staff more

So I went to Salon Matarazzo and was introduced to Jennette. When she was finished with my hair it looked so good that I was like "I'll never touch this hair again!"... well, at least until 6-weeks later when i came back again. This time i went for a trim and some blonde highlights. Jennette spent a lot of time and definitely did the best color i've ever had at a salon. DANIELLE is without doubt the best in her field! Her color technique is awesome and exclusively complimentary to enhance the features of the individual person. Her educational semi-annual trips to New York and California with regard to the "latest fashion" in the field of beauty are brought back and applied. I sit in her chair and feel as if I were getting the "red carpet" hollywood treatment. Never have I received so many compliments on my hair - never! more

I'm new to the area and didn't know where to go for a haircut and color.I moved here from San Fran. and was use to stylish haircuts. I found this salon on City Search and have been very pleased. Everyone was very friendly and the work was just as good or BETTER than I was getting in San Francisco! I will definetly be back and would recommend this salon to everyone! more
