I've lived all over the world so I've gone to many hairstylists over the years. Joe is absolutely the best I've ever been to! He is amazingly talented, he pays attention to the details, he actually listens to what his clients want, he is easy-going with a wonderful personality, and you can tell that he really loves making people look great. I am very picky when it comes to my hair and I'm a perfectionist so its hard for anyone to live up to my standards. But Joe consistently exceeds them. I get compliments on my hair at least several times each week. I always tell them that its thanks to Joe! more

Salon Joseph is great! He is an excellent sylist and does exactly what you ask him to do ... He has a great eye for what looks best for you! He really takes him time to make sure he understands what you want. A small salon but very clean and stylish! I am still loving my hair after my visit to Salon Joseph . He worked on putting KERATIN TREATMENTon my curly hair and styled my hair EXACTLY as I thought it should look like. My concern was that I always have a hard time with my hair the morning after I get it done, but he made sure I understood how to care for my style and he was able to answer all of my questions. Joseph introduced himself to me in his beautiful salon and immediately I was comfortable in a new place. I have thin, soft hair that has been butchered on many occasions so it's hard to trust new places. I just moved to D.C. after finally adjusting to a salon in Rhode Island only a few months previously after living there for a year. Thanks to city search website reviews and Salon Joseph, I will be returning. Joseph is different than other salons or barber shops in that he immediately evaluates and recognizes what the best shape for my face is. My boyfriend loves my hair and that's all that matters to me, as a bonus, everyone at work loves it and a guest in the restaurant that I work for pulled me aside one day as I was doing table visits and commented on my hair and said how she loved the cut and how it looked so soft and beautiful. I'm 23 and have never had any honestly comment on my hair before. I've always had those friends that say, oh, yeah, your hair is so thin but it's soft. I have been living here for 2 years and have been hairdresser shopping ever since. I finally found this place and love it! I saw JOE and he was fantastic! I had had a BAD coloring at Aveda and he totally corrected it and made my color fantastic.. and my cut was the best i have had in years! I've gone to Salon Joseph for haircuts, thread waxing, and it's always been a great experience. Joe is super-creative and always gives me a stunning cut. Lori ( is very gentle and precise and sweet. They both truly enjoy making me look good. Actually that's the vibe I get from the whole salon: friendly, low-key, professional, excited about their work. \r \r I never feel I'm being pushed to buy anything, but the minute I ask about a product, everyone knows exactly what to recommend to me and why ( hair type, etc.). You feel like you're in very capable hands with these guys, which is nice because other places have this kind of factory feel – like they're churning you down an assembly line. But at Salon Joseph the people always have time to answer questions and discuss beauty regimens and whatever. \r \r It's a cute space, too, – I always feel like I'm sneaking into some private hideaway or little club. Was a little nervous about trying a new stylist after relocating to Arlington. Was referred to *Salon Joseph*, and am SO glad that I went! One of the things that I liked the most, was how welcomed I felt by her. She truly listened to what I wanted, and gave me some great feedback. My sister has been going to Joseph for over 3 years and is always telling me how she can't live with out him. When I was looking to change things up and try a new cutting edge bob, I decided to make the trip for an appointment with Joseph... I was not disappointed... He not only gave me the best cut I have ever had, but I now have strangers stopping me and friends asking who cut my hair. I'd been wanting a good hairstylist for a long time, and recently discovered JOSEPH AWAD. I've had long, one length curly hair forever, and no stylist has ever really done anything with it. I took the plunge and sat with JOSEPH, who came highly recommended. and I honestly must tell all that after spending an hour with him sculpting, smoothing, and transforming my hair into a beautiful look, I feel I can't afford not to see him again. I went in because I tried to color my hair myself, and it turned out awful. We are new to the area, and I found his reviews to be most assuring in trying to find someone to correct what I had done to myself. He was very nice. He took time with me and took into account my opinion on what I liked and wanted to achieve. He saved my head! I will definitely go back! Pros: Very nice. Took time with me. I have been going to JOE AWAD for several years for cut and coloring/hilites. JOSEPH is the only person who I will allow to color my hair & I'm often asked who colors my hair because of how natural the color looks. he also gives my ROOMMATES great hair cuts and knows exactly what hairstyles work for me. Well, that all changed when I went to See joe awad. This was my 3rd haircut and color with JOSEPH, the 3rd haircut for me has always been the worst. Not this time, i actually went in expecting to be let down. It's' been my experience that the 1st cut is always great they're trying to impress, the 2nd they can copy the 1st but the 3rd seems to be a new ballgame. Not only was it incredible but it may be my favorite. Having a cut that is easy and fits my personal style has made my life so much easier. I was refered to JOSEPH AWAD by a friend and I am so happy I took her advice. I went in for my color and haircut and received a complete makeover. My highlights are unbelievable, they look sooo natural, and my cut is absolutely great! I loved their atmosphere!
