Best waxing ever ... 11/9/2008

\r I just met Maryam last week for body waxing . It was the first time i met her and was very impressed by her character and high quality services. She is a delightful person and does the best waxing service I have ever had. She treats you as a very special person from the moment you walk in the salon and pays attention to what you have in mind for your services. Maryam cares a lot about the quality of her work and comfort of the client. Great Haircut 9/22/2008

I found Gwendolyn through the web at a different site and I saw same reviews there as on CitySearch. She's pretty popular... I thought she'd be stuck up and full of herself but if she could give me a decent cut I would sit through it. It was a surprise to find her nice and easy going and younger that I thought. I got one of the best haircuts I've had since my last hairdresser retired. Thought I should write a review since that's how I found her. I have curly hair but it's fine. Hope that helps. I wish I'd demanded my money back 9/2/2008

I saw Carrie for an overall color and highlights and she tried three times to get the right contrast between the base color and the highlights. Each time it got worse; now the base color is almost black and I look like someone rubbed charcoal in my hair. It's the worst hair coloring job I ever gotten; I had to go to another salon to try to remedy the situation, but it will be a while before my haircolor is back to where it should be. I'm glad others are so excited about the results they got, but I will never recommend this salon to anyone!! more

Best hair cut and hair color ever 8/3/2008

I just had my hair cut and color at JBU with Carrie I was referred to her by a handful of friends .when I saw Carrie I told her that i want change and left it all up to her.and as a result i got the best color and cut ever my hair cut made me 10 years younger and the color is match with my eye color, absolutely love it! l receive so many compliments after seeing her I would highly recommend her to anyone , more

Great haircut 7/31/2008

I got Gwendolyn's name from my co-workers and she gave me the best haircut I've had since moving to the East side eight years ago. I went in, sat down and left it all up to her. She designed a style that suits my crazy lifestyle, personality and face shape. It's the first time in a long time I left the salon looking good and being able to go home and recreating the look again. She did run a little late so i might allow a little more time next time just in case but well worth the wait! Best Haircut for difficult hair! 7/28/2008

I've heard of Gwendolyn for years from friends and neighbors but resisted going just because I love everyones hair but I have very difficult hair and very different from theirs. It's limp and fine and I've lived with one bad haircut after another for years. Finally a cut I can style and it's lasted longer than any haircut I've had. I only wish listened to my friends sooner. BEST BIKINI WAX EVER 6/23/2008

Maryam has the BEST BIKINI WAX services in the world. I have super sensitive skin and very low pain tolerance but she does the waxing so fast and in such delicate manner that I don?t even feel the pain .... its over before I know it. I recommend Maryam to all my friends and coworkers and they have all been telling me how wonderful she is. If you are ever considering a bikini - or any wax - Maryam is the best to go to. Her Bikini wax is perfect and she has a nice, quiet , clean place that helps you relax. more

If there is any woman out there who was shy about getting a bikini wax, it WAS me.....with emphasis on the past tense WAS.... MARYAM is without hesitation the BEST waxer this side of the Rockies!!! She is warm, friendly, caring and not at all impressed with your SHYNESS. I am a 25 year veteran in the beauty industry and have experienced all kinds of estiticians..... Maryum really is the best 6/15/2008

I had been looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed in Bellevue. i was not happy with an results until I walked into Salon JBU. I had read the city search posts about Maryum and was expecting the best. Luckily thats what I got. Maryum was professional, attentive and I have gotten numerous compliments on the shape of my eye brows since seeing her. I will definitely be going back!! more

Best Haircut EVER!!!! 5/8/2008

I have always had long hair. Recently I cut my hair short. I have seen three different stylist at different salons and was not happy, at all. Then I was refered to Megan and not only do I love my hair, I also strongly recommend her.I was very pleased with the way she listened to what I wanted along with giving me her honest professional opinion.she rocks! Best Esthetician Ever 5/5/2008

Maryam at salon JBU is by far the most wonderful esthetician I have ever had. She is the absolute best in waxing, specially Brazilian. She gives me the result I expect as painlessly as possible and in a very short time. I am very picky about services I receive and am extremely happy with Maryam's customer service skills. I have tried tons of places in Seattle area and other parts of the country / world and have not found anyone nearly as wonderful as Maryam. She has a healing touch that I have not experienced elsewhere. I have always been amazed by her skills and professionalism and consider myself super lucky to have found her. \r \r She is also fantastic with Facials and skin care treatments. Every time I have a Facial with Maryam, people literally stop me to tell me that I'm glowing and ask for my secret !! She uses the best products and spends as much time as needed to soften, cleanse and tone my skin. I have a great skin and owe that all to Maryam as she has been taking care of me for the last 7 years. \r \r To put it simply , Maryam is the BEST esthetician ever - period. \r more

Maryam at JBU is the best Best Esthetician I have ever used. I have had the opportunity to enjoy her services for over 7 years. She is far and away the very best person I have used for waxing services in the 22 years I have been waxing. I have also used Maryam for microderabrasion and facials with wonderful results. more

Best haircut in years. 1/23/2008

I used to go to my local barber for years, but after he ""retired"", I wasn't sure where to go. My hair is thinning and my barber did an amazing job of making it look good. A buddy of mine recommended Shannon who has been cutting his hair for years. At first, I was skeptical, but to my surprise, Shannon did an amazing job. She even went through the trouble of explaining ways to better maintain my hair. She really knows what she is doing. You can bet I will be back. Pros: Great haircuts, comfortable atmosphere, great knowledge Cons: Can't think of any. more

Really Great Salon 1/11/2008

I was referred to this salon and hair stylist, Carrie, by a handful of friends (through my husband's work). I haven't really been all that good at sticking with a hairstylist but I really am thrilled with Carrie and JBU! I am going back for my highlights and a cut shortly. \r I won't go anywhere else (and that is saying a lot). Pros: Absolutely love the skills of the stylists and the friendly, chic atmosphere. Cons: Somewhat hard to get in as the appointments fill up quickly (for certain stylists). more

I have gone to JBU for the past 2 colorings and 2 cuts and absolutely love it! Each time I go to Peter and tell him an idea of what I'd like and he definitly creates exactly what I'm hoping to get. awesome hair extensions 12/20/2007

I am new in the Bellevue area and I wanted to get hair extensions. I was referred to Shannon at Salon JBU from a friend. I was impressed at how fast she was and how great my hair turned out! I liked how Shannon gave me information on how to keep my extensions looking good. I really felt that she cared enough to make sure I look my best. I will always refer her to anyone who asks about my hair! Pros: great stylist that knows what she's doing! ambience, parking, and convience. Cons: none! more
