Sakowitz Furs

I have been storing my coat at Sakowitz for several years. I called them last week for a coat delivery to my home and was told Saturday, after noon. I waited all afternoon and no one showed up and I was never called. I called Monday and left a message with a salesperson. I called Tuesday and left a second message with a salesperson. I called Wednesday and was given a second number to call. I called the second number and was told, ""We don't have Saturday deliveries."" When I asked her why I was told my coat would be delivered on a Saturday she would not answer me. I was never even given an apology. Rude, rude, rude. I am furious with the store. more

Last time I will ever leave my furs there for storage and glazing/cleaning.\r Woman was extremely rude. \r Will never again recommend Sakowitz Furs to my friends and neighbors..\r more

I normally don t write reviews, but I just had the best experience at Sakowitz Furs. I came in a couple weeks ago with my old coat I ve had for a while and I was so pampered by J.R. He walked me through all my options and I choose to restyle my coat into jacket and a vest. When I came back a couple weeks later, the jacket and vest looked amazing! I couldn t believe it was my fur! Now I can t wait to wear my fur again! Oh, and I called around to compare the pricing and no one came close. more

I had a great experience at sakowitz furs. I was completely pampered by J.R. He was so patient with me and all my questions. I ended up restyling my old coat into a jacket and a vest. They both came out fabulous and the price was hundreds less than the other places I researched. got fur? go here! more

My family has been shopping with Sakowitz since it was a department store and have kept our Furs with Sakowitz Furs ever since. They have always had the best customer service and Have really gone the extra mile for me a time or two. I have used just about every service they offer and I can tell you that the work they have done on my coats is always impeccable! more

I used to live in New York City and I have been storing my fur coats with Sakowitz Furs since I moved down here five years ago. They are much more accommodating and have much better customer service than I am used to. They are true experts of their craft. They have refurbished and restyled a couple coats for me and they always come out Perfect! They also have a tremendous Selection (that I love trying on) and the pricing always seems low compared to other shops I've been to. If you have or want a fur coat, then this is your place. more

I just happen to be walking by and was curious and wow, I had so much fun. I ended up trying on a couple dozen coats and sending pictures to my hubby. The sales person was so great, she gave me a full education on all the different types of fur coats and how they are made. They had some fantastic designer coats that were soo chic! I got lucky and my husband liked the pictures enough to come down and by me one!! Thank you Sakowitz for such a great time! I can't wait to strut in my new coat! more

Me and my wife love this store, we have always recieved the best customer service and they have the best prices in town. I bought my wife a coat there for our anniversary and she has brought it back there every year since for storage over the summer. The salespeople are very knowledgeable and take good care of us. I recomend this store to everyone. more

I went to sakowitz with my mom's old coat to see what it was and what it might be worth. The salesperson was so helpful. He told me everything I could ever want to know about the coat. I ended up trading the coat in toward a beautiful new coat I gave to my wife for our anniversary. Needless to say, she was thrilled and I paid way less than I have seen anywhere. I will definately recomend Sakowtiz Furs to all my friends! more

If I could rate with zero stars, I would. Never been treated so rudely in any retail store. While I'm not from the River Oaks set, I did feel I deserved some respect when going to Sakowitz for a fur appraisal. I was dismissed at hand upon entry into the store by a rude man at the front desk. When I told him I wanted to leave a ""jacket"" for appraisal, he said very sarcastically ""leave it?"" I told him I would wait but they looked very busy. He said, ""Let's see it"" in the same condescending manner as his greeting. He gave me a quick unintelligble, grumbling verbal figure and I was able to leave the store as quickly as I entered. It was very humiliating. No one has the right to treat any customer with such a lack of respect. What a snob. Perhaps we should compare paychecks. more

Wonderful customer service oriented staff of professional furriers. They have fantastic high end merchandise. Experienced at re-cutting coats for an entire new look!! Fur storage available. more
