The Safe Touch installer was on time and polite. After about an hour of him drilling, running wire and climbing around in the attic, I went to check and see his progress. To my surprise and horror he ran the wiring, to the main box in my closet, out of the ceiling by the molding, over the molding and back into the wall. I told him to stop what he was doing and asked why.
He said it was the only way to get it from the attic into the wall. I was so mad at what he did to my home, I kicked him out of the house and call the salesman. He called the installation manager who called me. I explained the situation, just how mad I was, and he sent out the installation supervisor, The tech was sent on his way, because I told the supervisor I did not and would not let him back into my home. The supervisor repaired the damage to the ceiling and wall. He then finished the install correctly.
I was satisfied with the result and I'm happy with the company so far. The Installation manager called to make sure all was well. Over all a good job. But as with anything, you must watch what they are doing. This tech was a hack, the supervisor was a pro. It does make me wonder how many other homes this tech screwed up taking short cuts.
One comment, I have called the company for general info at the end of the work day, and have waited on hold for over 15 minutes twice. Calling tech support and get them to assist you quickly is not an issue.
