STAY AWAY from SAFE TOUCH! 9/11/2013

This company is a bunch of con artists. They tell you its only a 3 year contract, but in the long run they say you signed a 5 year contract. When you try and terminate they make you fax in a letter. Now i was told by a collection agency that Safe Touch will still charge me monthly even though I cancelled my service. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKED BUSINESS PEOPLE! more

Terrible stay away! 12/5/2012

the sales rep showed up and did his thing, when I said I had to think about it he got rude and belligerent. I had to kick him out of my house. I felt very threatened. Stay away from a guy named Harold in Jax more

Started out badly, but ended up satisfied. 11/6/2012

The Safe Touch installer was on time and polite. After about an hour of him drilling, running wire and climbing around in the attic, I went to check and see his progress. To my surprise and horror he ran the wiring, to the main box in my closet, out of the ceiling by the molding, over the molding and back into the wall. I told him to stop what he was doing and asked why. He said it was the only way to get it from the attic into the wall. I was so mad at what he did to my home, I kicked him out of the house and call the salesman. He called the installation manager who called me. I explained the situation, just how mad I was, and he sent out the installation supervisor, The tech was sent on his way, because I told the supervisor I did not and would not let him back into my home. The supervisor repaired the damage to the ceiling and wall. He then finished the install correctly. I was satisfied with the result and I'm happy with the company so far. The Installation manager called to make sure all was well. Over all a good job. But as with anything, you must watch what they are doing. This tech was a hack, the supervisor was a pro. It does make me wonder how many other homes this tech screwed up taking short cuts. One comment, I have called the company for general info at the end of the work day, and have waited on hold for over 15 minutes twice. Calling tech support and get them to assist you quickly is not an issue. more

Terrible Terrible Customer Service 6/11/2012

I don't know who Ashley is but she is the worst when it comes to customer service. I don't know how she still has a job and all of the calls are recorded. I don't know why Safe Touch hired her. It is no wonder they still have customers after speaking with her. Very rude, curt and down right disrespectful. more

Be Wary 4/20/2012

Be very careful. Your safe touch contract locks you in for a monitoring service for 5 years, even if they are not monitoring it. The only way to cancel your contract is in writing to the company in Jacksonville. Horrible company with bad ethics and service over the phone. Haven't monitored my system for 3 years, but continues to collect payment. more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/19/2012

I'm not even going to give this company a single star. Their customer service reps (Ashley especially) are extremely (EXTREMELY) rude, need to take a few English classes (and these are not ESL people), and anger management classes. They could also use a few lessons on their products and their contracts. Communication between departments would also prove beneficial. Service is questionable.... We had a new phone service installed at our home, Safe Touch charged us $75 to connect with the new service. In the meantime, while the service was "disconnected" they still were able to contact us through their system. Now, if they are charging us $75 but could still communicate with us, why bother? I know, I know..... money money money money money. As well, the system is supposed to be able to be used w/out monitoring by forwarding the alarm signal to another number (even your own number). That NEVER worked and customer service was not willing to help without charging us (this was before we changed phone service). It's a shame because the system was fine - it's just the after-service that is complete garbage. more

Reliable and Prompt Service 12/21/2011

I had an awfuly experience with this company AlarmForce. I called a representative from Safe Touch who came out and installed their system quickly and efficiently. While I could not get out of my AlarmForce contract, it was worth it financially to have another company come out and install a system properly. I'm glad that I called Safe Touch. Thank you. more

Two thumbs up! 12/20/2011

My keypad was recently beeping so I called Safe Touch and they tried to troubleshoot over the phone. That was unsuccessful so they had a service supervisor come to my house the next day to repair. All that my system needed was a new battery. I felt so dumb. Thank you Safe Touch - two thumbs up for excellent customer service. more

Reviews 12/19/2011

Listen people - there are positive reviews and negative reviews for every company out there. As a customer it is your responsibility to weed out the biased and learn from the unbiased. I am a Safe Touch customer and spent a little bit more than I thought I was going to, however, the choice was very simple for me. All I can suggest is that you give them a call and have them send out a consultant to give you pricing and show you what they have to offer. Then you don't have to make a judgement based on what others say on the internet, you can do what I did and use my own personal opinion. What works for me may not work for others and vice versa. I'm happy and it was an easy decision. Hope this helps. Margaret Harrison-Smith Apopka, FL more

safe touch 12/18/2011

I had 3 companies come out and give me a quote. The safe touch guy was the only one that actually sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Didn't like the 3yr term but I guess that's what they all do. The 2-way thing is what sold me, the other 2 companies didn't offer it.. more

Works for me 12/18/2011

Like any company, I've read the good review and I've read the bad. I live in Windemere and have been a Safe Touch Customer for about a year now. Didn't have any problems with pushy salespeople, didn't have any problems with the installer, and havent have any problems since. Affordable, yet I wasn't looking for affordable when considering something as serious as the security of my home and family. I'd recommend them to friends or family members. And have. Sincerely, James Hartley more

Hear "I haaaaaaat Safe Touch" commercials all the time! 12/17/2011

All I hear about on the Radio is Safe Touch and some other company called Alarmforce. So I called both and this is what I found: Alarmforce sells you the system over the phone. They know nothing about your home and the equipment you may need. It’s one package … that’s it. When I asked if they can send a representative out for a consultation they declined. In all of their advertising they talk about how they have two-way technology at a fraction of the price that other companies charge. They also say that their two-way technology is different that any other company out there because "ALL OTHER COMPANIES" use a recorded voice. Ok, I may not be the smartest cat in the world, but I highly doubt that multi-million dollar companies like ADT, Guardian, and Safe Touch would assume this liability. Alarmforce also told me that through their two-way they will "voice-threaten" the criminal out of the home. So....what they're saying is that if someone broke into your home they are going to be able to get them to leave by voice threatening them? Yeah...right. I called the Safe Touch office and spoke to a receotionist named Becky. She told me that within ten minutes a consultant would call me. It wasn't more than five minutes when I received a call from Mike and he was willing to set up an appointment that was condusive with my schedule. Mike came out and gave me two or three different options. They installed the system two days later and Mike came back out to make sure that everything was beyond my expectations. Since then, I have recommended three friends to Safe Touch and when they signed up Safe Touch applied $50 credit to my account. I'm very satisfied and will continue to recommend them. more

Couldn't agree more 12/13/2011

When shopping for a security system there are many factors that I considered. When I read the ADT contract and it stated that they would "attempt" to call the police if my alarm went off, I was floored. Why would I pay a dime, let alone the $2,000 over 36mth for an attempt. In the Safe Touch contract it clearly states that they "will" contact authorities. That was enough for me. Sincerely, Roger Green more

SAFE TOUCH WORKS FOR ME!! 12/27/2010

I just got a new alarm installed by Safe Touch and it is great! The reason I'm posting is because I had the same security guy Brian. Not only did he explain everything to me, but I felt so comfortable dealing with him that I recommend him to anybody looking for a system. I also feel so much safer with that 2- way communicator. It's really cool when I set it off by mistake. They just come over and talk to me. You can't beat it. Amanda Norrito more

Very Satisfied 3/12/2010

After 2 armed burglaries in my (gated) complex and a murder the next town over I decided it was time for an alarm system. After dealing with a few salesmen from other alarm companies I called Safetouch. They sent out their sales rep Brian. He was very polite and explained the system in and out. When I didn't pass the credit application, he had a back-up plan. Brian went out of his way to make things work. Rob the installer was out in 2 days and did a complete install. Rob was polite, professional and cleaned up after himself before moving on to his next task. I perform monthly tests on my system without notifying the monitoring office and have always had an extremely fast (as advertised) response time. With the two-way communicator Safetouch is the only way to go! Read through your contract. You will see a 36 month contract with an auto renew for 2 years if you don't write to cancel within 60 days! It's there in plain English, anyone who complains about this hasn't read through the agreement. Thank you Safetouch! I will be sure to post and update if my experience changes. Josh Lambert more

Safe Touch Secures Your Home 8/3/2005

We've only had this alarm system for a little while, but it's really secure and will help for any situation that might occur. It's a wireless system with censors on the doors and windows. The main box has numbers and letters that you use to set your password and turn the alarm on and off. It also offers a "chime" sound for anyone who enters or leaves the house. The alarm system comes with enough censors to catch anyone who may break into your home and a motion censor that is ideal for the living room. If you accidentally set the system off, a representative will come on the intercom and ask you for the password. To test it, we've accidentally set it off at least five times, and they've diligentally helped us. For three years, it's a really good price and offers the protection your house deserves. more
