Loved it! 3/27/2012

We absolutely loved the Safari Inn. Very retro and cute! The room was big and very clean. Staff in the lobby were fun and very nice to deal with. The location was perfect, close to NBC studios and downtown and we felt the price was worth it. If we get back to Burbank, this is where we will stay. more

Great Hotel BUT... 2/7/2011

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there! more

3 * HOTEL IN BURBANK 2/5/2009

I would never come back again. The breakfast was awful. The rooms were so small and depresing . It is like a motel. At night I could not sleep at all, you could here everyboday walking and talking outside, even my next door room-you can here the flush in the bathroom in your room next to you.I only was amazed with one thing, one day I forgot my gold(worth 2000 dollars) on the table in the room, 4 pieces, when I came back they've cleaned the room but still there. If you consider this hotel as a 3* hotel is okay to get here. more

Great A+ 1/22/2009

I recently spent 5 nights in this hotel. I have to say I was impressed when I walked in. The atmosphere was great and the place looked like it was brand new. Long story short, after departing I can only say that the service gets and A and the overall experience is outstanding. I would definetly recommend this hotel to my friends. Also the resturant food is amazing! Tried something differnt 3 nights and everthing was delicious. Enjoy Pros: Service, Atmosphere more

Two thumbs down. 6/30/2008

\r Pets are not allowed to stay unattended, without a muzzle and 200 dollar non-refundable deposit.\r \r Continental breakfast is tiny bagels and tiny muffins.\r \r No public bathroom either in lobby or by the pool. \r \r No management on duty EVER on weekends to help with problems. \r \r I will not recommend this to anyone whom cares about their pets. \r \r Nowhere is this listed on their website. \r \r Sunday morning, we got up early to take advantage of the continental breakfast in the lobby; when we went in, we were snubbed, not acknowledged in any way by the staff, yet people kept coming in to check out early or come in early; all were warmly greeted. \r \r The continental breakfast for Sunday morning consisted of tiny muffins, the smallest bagels I've ever seen and a toaster for guests to toast them. There were two pitchers of orange juice and two pots of coffee. \r \r Also, downstairs where the laundry/ice machines/soft drink machines and such are, the soft drink machine was out of service. Maybe keeping extra supplies on hand in the lobby for purchase? \r \r \r \r Pros: If you need a roof for the night Cons: No management on hand, pets cannot stay alone unless they are muzzled and a non-refundable $200 paid. more

Okay stay 4/5/2008

I read the other reviews before we stayed and was l little scared but it wasn't to bad. Our airconditioner did have a funny smell but they replaced it within 15 minutes after we complained. Rooms are average and kind of small, carpet was dirty and the chair in our room was stained with something but the beds were clean. Pool was nice and heated. We were not in the room much so it wasn't to bad. the breakfast was not much, but we still had a good time. There is no microwave int he room. I probally would not stay here again. The staff however was wonderful. They always were saying hi or goodmorning,or evening as you passed them. I guess this is a good hotel is you are on a budget. more

GREAT STAY 3/28/2007

i've stayed at other hotels in burbank but the safari inn oversees them all. from their great customer service to their really nice rooms. i loved the rooms and the atmosphere and knowing all the celebrities that have stayed their makes it even better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: parking, location, customer service Cons: non more

Great customer service!!! 3/22/2007

I've stayed at plenty of places, and this place has the best customer service!! I was so pleased and would definately be back again. Great prices, great people... what more could you ask for!! more

Retro 3/20/2007

Great little hotel in the heart of Burbank. It's sister property next door is for you if you're looking for luxury, but if you're price conscious, then the Safari should be your choice. I've stayed in the City of Burbank on business for the past 5 years and the Safari Inn is the least expensive 3 diamond hotel in the entire city. You can try to find something less expensive, but you'll only find 2 star hotels on the freeway. Trust me, i've looked. The Safari has everything you need (Wi-Fi, free parking, free airport shuttle, etc.). \r \r The staff is absolutely wonderful as well. Ask the front desk for something and see if they won't do it for you. They're great, all of them. Pros: Least expensive 3 star in the whole city Cons: exterior corridors more

Hidden Jewel Is Right! 3/20/2007

I asked the front desk ""where have you guys been all this time""? and they simply answered, ""ma'am, we've been here since 1980"". Customers usually brag about places that they love because we love to share, but this is a special situation. The Coast Anabelle Hotel only has 47 rooms, which means they fill up quickly. I can understand why the guests here don't spread the word, but I had to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel. It is absolutely incredible. It is warm, friendly and customer service is OBVIOUSLY a priority. I can't wait to stay there again and again. Pros: Customer Service, Amenities, Down Comforters, Robes, Wi-Fi, Restaurant, Bar, on and on Cons: only 47 rooms, sells out fast more

LOCATION 3/13/2006

This little hotel was near everything I wanted to see in Hollywood and Universal. Great price and I have to admit that it was kind of neat that I was staying at a hotel that so many movies were filmed at. Great service and staff. I'll be back... Pros: Rates, Location, Service Cons: Sells Out Quickly more

WOW, Where has this hotel been? 3/13/2006

I stay in Burbank all the time and have to deal with the ridiculous prices of the Hilton and the others, until I luckily found the Anabelle Hotel. What a deal! This hotel gives you everything for FREE. Free parking, Free high speed internet, Free calls, Free airport transportation, Free HBO, Free fitness center and some more stuff I can't remember. OH and you get 2 robes in each room. So much luxury and the restaurant is great as well. I'll never stay anywhere else again. Pros: Price, Comfort, Service/Location Cons: Sells Out Quickly more

Cool Retro Hotel 6/28/2002

The Safari is one of your best bets for lodging in Burbank. It's very 1950s in everything from the room decor to the brightly lit neon sign to the pool area. In fact, it's used in a lot of period piece movies, as well as films/tv shows going for a nostalgic feel. I feel that the prices should come down a notch or two (I don't see that it's worth more than $100 per night), but it is a clean and comfortable place to stay for just about anyone. Pros: retro feel, swimming pool, safe area Cons: a little pricey more

Best in the area!!! 6/7/2002

We recently stayed at the Safari and were impressed. The room was extremely clean and had tons of amenities, ie. hairdryer, fridge, coffeemaker w/ coffee, room service, that most motels don't have. Great sign and pool. Pros: good parking, safe neighborhood, great restaurant more

Beautiful Downtown Burbank 6/7/2002

The other review is for a hotel in Anaheim. This was a lovely boutique style hotel in Burbank. Our room was beautiful and the staff was all wonderful. We loved the restaurant and room service from Olive's Bistro. We have stayed at the Burbank Hilton and The Burbank Holiday Inn and The Anabelle was much better than both!!! Pros: free parking, 24 hour room service, quiet Cons: 1 elevator more
