Sacramento State

Sacramento State is a wonderful university. It's surrounded by native trees and it's obvious with all the leaves on the ground when the wind blows hard. I believe it has a few impacted majors--including Nursing, Criminal Justice, and Computer Science--which means those are a bit tougher to get in to because those programs are the best ones in the University. more

I'm still planning on going here, but it's a great school. Only positive things about CSUS are said. Circullum is great, and every event I've been to here has been fantastic. The campus is clean and neat. Well-lighted and safe. Parking is a nightmare, especially recently with them taking a parking lot out of commission. But, they're building new parking soon. Just take mass transit or park and walk if you can find a place. Great theater department! more

CSUS is a great school for both local kids wanting to stay in town and newcomers to the Sacramento area. The campus is located on the American River and is an easy walk from many local apartment complexes. Parking is expensive and extremely hard to come by, so CSUS offers a free shuttle system to transport students from local bus stops to the campus. Classes are small enough that you feel like you're getting enough individual attention. Many large lecture classes also are paired with smaller discussion classes for that very reason. It is not always easy to get the classes you need, but most professors are as accomodating as possible in trying to assist you on your way to graduation. The campus is beautiful, the students are friendly, and the staff is kind. more

The California State University at Sacramento is one nice place to get your higher education!! This school is wonderful, whether you commute to it (yikes, the traffic!!) or stay on campus. The campus itself is very beautiful, full of trees and friendly squirrels that I've actually seen hand fed!! (Not that this is the best idea...) There are several different schools on campus, and you can earn your bachelor's or master's degree in a number of subjects. A great place to learn!! more
