Simply the best steak I've ever had. The creme brulee was very good also. We've been there more than a few times and it's always been excellent! Pros: Great food, Large portions, Good service Cons: Poor parking, Can be pricey more

ruth's can be romantic 2/2/2003

we made 8:30 reservations and were not seated until 9:35. we had a very nice private table-very romantic. the atmosphere was busy and a bit loud. if you're looking for romance ask for a table in the back corner. everything we ordered arrived promptly. this was the best and biggest steak we've ever had! it was also very near the best service we've ever had. well worth the pricey bill that followed. I love the butter 1/13/2003

These are the best restaraunt steaks that I've had in Pittburgh, or almost anywhere. Cooking them on the intense het with the excellent quality of the meat and the added touch of the butter make for a wonderful eating experience, especially if you order them ""Pittsburgh Rare"". The tenderness of the meat coupled with the hot crusty outside and the cool rare inside produce wonderful contrasts that are a true eating experience. more

After not visiting the restaurant for several years, the return visit confirmed what I have always thought, since in my traveling I made a point to always eat in this restaurant in whatever city I happened to be in. If you want to feast your eyes on something really beautiful as well as delicious, then you would benefit greatly by visiting a Ruth Chris Restaurant. Their steaks, from first appearance have a particular luster and are the juiciest, most perfect tasting meats. No matter how you like them done, from rare to well, they never ruin the steak. They're chefs apparently know how to ""be chefs"" and they're willing to please the customer. This fact stands up to each of their restaurants in various cities. We travel extensively and have made a bit of a game trying to see if all RC's can be visited in a year! Yes, tough job but someone has to do it - dining on an expense account doesn't hurt! Anyway, we can advise the PA readership that the local RC does indeed pass the consistency test: consistent steaks, service, sides, drinks even desserts. Our server was efficient and personable, just right. We visited immediately after a business meeting nearby - between our meal and after-dinner drinks and discussion, we were there for 3 hours. No ""rush"" felt from the wait staff, just gracious service. Great steaks, great service - no doubt we'll be back. Pros: Steaks, Service, Drinks more
