OK... The good first. We had Filet Mignon and Lamb Chops. Both were excellent and up to the expected standard of Ruth's Chris. This is where the...

Best Happy Hour on the East Side 9/26/2013

With plenty of things to eat for 6.50 or less (including a 1/2 pound burger with fries) Ruth's is our favorite HH spot. They have an early and a late HH, from 3:30 to 6:30 and from 9:00 to close. It's also the one Happy Hour that you can take kids to (if you sit behind the stairs it's technically not in the bar, but they'll still serve you the happy hour menu). more

High price to pay for a meal. 6/3/2006

My husband and I went to Ruth's Chris in Bellevue after his mother recommended it. (I guess this should have been my first clue, but I digress.) Because we had a newborn at the time, our reservation was for earlier in the evening, so the dining room was relatively empty. We were seated directly outside the kitchen doors. After asking to be moved, we were kindly taken to another table near a window. While the decor was fine, the view out the window of the downtown Bellevue Bartell Drugs left a little to be desired, but again, I digress. The cocktail I ordered (dirty martini) was excellent. Our waiter, again, excellent. The food - we both ordered steaks - was quite good and cooked to our satisfaction. The sides, which do not come with your meal and cost extra, were nothing to write home about. We also had coffee and dessert, which were both fine as well. My problem with Ruth's Chris is that they honestly charge out the wazoo for something you can get at a better price at dozens and dozens of other restaurants. We knew it would be expensive, but I suppose we were expecting a whole lot more for the money. more

Yum, steak! 5/7/2006

I'm not a big fan of steak, but I have to say that the food here is sensational. They can make this non steak lover, love steak at this place. Like others have mentioned, the happy hour deals are great and as you might expect from a steak house, they also grill up a mean burger. Prices are steep, along the lines of the Metropolitan Grill but for a special night out - it's good for a splurge. more

Go..have a cow 3/18/2006

I have been here for dinner and its basically what I expect. Prices are steep vs. service is fancy. Steak is tasy vs. those are my thighs? My brother took his prom date here once and with the prom special, ended up paying $120. If you want a traditional fancy dose of Bellevue, go...have a cow. more

Great Happy Hour 12/8/2005

I can't speak for the real restaurant, because I've never eaten there, but this place has a great happy hour. It is from 4-6 every day, and then also from 9-close everday of the week. They have great drink specials, including $2 or $3 margarita's and cosmo's for the ladies, and beer specials too. They also have their appetizers from their main menu on special for $2 or $3 as well. My favorites are the mini hamburger and french fries, the bacon wrapped sirloin bites, the artichoke dip, and the caesar salad. YUMMY!! These are appetizers that are usually $8-$15. It is well worth it!! more

$2 Ruth's Chris Burgers 10/5/2005

There aren't any drink specials, but Ruth's Chris has a great happy hour special - $2 burgers (it could be $3, but they are cheap). These are good burgers too, Ruth's Chris quality. The bar seating area isn't very big, so it isn't the best place to go with a crowd, but it is a good place to go for a bite to eat before heading home. I've only been once, but there was a person that came alone, had a burger and iced tea while sitting at the bar. Not bad if you need a bite to eat while at Bellevue Square. If that happens to be between 4 and 6. more

Bellevue Meets Steak; mixed results 6/30/2005

Honestly, it's bad enough that the Bellevue Square version of Pagliacci serves mini-pizzas by the pie that cost college tuition, but the steak house is ridiculous. They serve the meat on sizzling, sensational platters that are more show than taste, and any side you want you must order additionally. They're trying to take you for all the money they can. They suspect you don't mind. They suspect you're as Bellevue as they are. And they're usually right. Charge it! more
