I first came to Mr. Amsberry to assist with a probate contest three years ago. He has since helped with an adoption. He has consistently been professional, caring and responsive to my questions and need for help. He has helped my family in the some very difficult circumstances and vigorously represented my interest. Russell Amsberry is probably the best lawyer I talked to about my divorce. His fees were reasonable. I felt listened to from the very first day we met. His office assistant wasn't the most helpful, but Russell Amsberry was. I would obviously refer anyone going through tough times, to go to the Amsberry Law Offices. Russell Amsberry told me the day before he was supposed to represent me that he had another obligation for the same day and time. He tried to convince me to go to my hearing without him and stated he would show up later in the day. (What?) He tried to convince me to represent myself until he arrived. Needless to say I was not going to go to my hearing without an attorney. My case was automatically dropped. I paid Russell in full so I asked for a refund. He stated that he would return a very small portion of what I had paid him. In the end, I received the entire amount that I paid him because he was forced to return my payment by my credit card company. Very strange and unprofessional attorney. more

Mr. Amsberry is one of the worst lawyers I have ever had to deal with. He represented me in my divorce. For what he called a ""simple"" divorce was a joke. I was the one doing all the work. I was the one who got the information needed when he had no clue. We went to one 30 minute hearing and a 5 minute one to get the judge to sign the papers. I was even asked to pay alimony to my ex-husband. I was suppose to be charged a reduced fee because I was on a pre-paid legal plan with my school district. Simple meant $9,000. I have friends who paid half this much and had to deal with child support, multiple court visits, restraining orders and investigating hidden assets. I feel he did a very poor job He managed to get me stuck with all the bills while my ex-husband got all our savings and CD's we had. I would not ever recommend him to anyone. more

First I would like to say that I am very appreciative of Russell Amsberry and his team of associates. They have helped me and my children soo much, and are still working on my case to do more. He asks a lot of questions so that he can fully understand the case and what we want out of the case and then he gets to working on getting what we want. I feel like he is one person that will go above and beyond what is expected of him, he's very caring and compassionate and he is one that works with his heart. If I ever had any questions about anything, all I had to do was call or stop by his office and everything would be explained to me in detail. From the day I had my first consultation with him I felt completely comfortable with him. I have had a few meetings with him and I felt great after each one because you could just tell that he was preparing for ""the big day""... I can say, with no doubt in my mind this attorney will have you feeling the same way he has made me feel. Mr. Russell Amsberry has the personality of a toad. He is rude and condescending. I would definately not recommend him. His attitude and lack of respect for other people is astounding and sad. Cons: He is a rude man. more
