I love going to rumjungle before it turns into a nighclub, it is a very cool place to have some drinks and eat. However as far as a nighclub goes it overpriced for drinks, even by...

Fewer Pit 1/11/2003

Good place but the Fire Pit on the menu was just too disappointing. I was the only one in a party of 4 who foolishly succumbed to the waiters suggestion to try the Fire Pit in which I am supposed to get a taste of every kind of meat they served in this place. Everyone in my group has chowed down their plates and I am still waiting for sample meat number 4. In short, my appetite was gone by the time they could complete their cycle. The skewer girls were just too damned slow and this was supposed to be their menu's main attraction? Avoid the fire pit at all cost. Pros: Nice chick staff Cons: Slow skewer girls more

overrated 1/1/2003

The food was terrible (and expensive) and the service wasn't any better. avoid this place like the plague. There are way better choices in 'vegas Pros: Decor Cons: everything else more

Best vip treatment out there 11/19/2002

I've been to clubs all over the world, and this one is the best. Best vip, atmosphere, music ect... Got to rub elbows with superstars. Pros: service, vibe, atmosphere Cons: crowded, long line more

Sexy and dark! 11/17/2002

Its a beautiful club.It soothes the soul and makes you feel like youre somewhere tropical.Miamish vibe. The people were from all over the world.Ive never seen such a beautiful crowd. Its also very dark in there instead of bright hot lights all over they have it nicely dim in there. The music was the best mix Ive heard at any club before.I just wish the dancefloor was bigger but hey im not complaining we danced all night to the Djs sexy grooves.Cant wait to go back!!! more

overrated 11/16/2002

I think this bar is tragically overrated. It was so overdone and it had the very typical Vegas overdone scene to it. Who hangs out here? Lame, lame, lame. Pros: hip reputation Cons: boooring more

Great Food, Hot Night Out 11/7/2002

Wow, couples and singles -- get here quick. Loved the Brazilian type dish we had. The hostesses are really cool and they treat you like a star. We got there a bit early -- around 8pm or 9pm before it converted itself into a bar with a cover charge. Earlier we had cosmos at the Russian-type Vodka bar next door and then jotted next door for Rumjungle -- dinner. It was our first visit and its the place to wear black, be cool, be Vegas!, drink and eat alot and get your groove on. You won't leave here disappointed! Pros: Atmosphere, Drinks/Cocktails, Service more

The best music and decor around! 10/26/2002

I have been coming here with my friends and customers and its always a hit.The music has been consistent and superior to all the other clubs for over 3 years now.Kudos to the DJs.Its a very sexy vibe with waterfalls and dim lighting.Theres always alot of sexy people there and the drinks are very strong. The dancers for the most part need some lessons.Great place to chill at. Pros: waterfall walls, wonderful music, strong drinks Cons: rude managers, waitresses go MIA, dancefloor too small more

Worth Checking Out 10/24/2002

This place is awesome when you first get there, but you soon realize it's too crowded. Expensive drinks and you can't take them to the dance floor so everyone crowds around the bar. On top of that, because of the crowding, you can't even get a drink. Killer atmosphere, beautiful people, great rhythm! I would definitely recommend checking out this place, but not on a Saturday night. Pros: Music, Atmosphere, Dancing Cons: Crowded, Expensive, Service more

The Rythum is gonna get ya!! 10/10/2002

Awesome Atmosphere!! Waterfalls and Fire make for a hot romantic night. And the food is delicious. We were there mainly for dinner which we enjoyed. The feast is the best way to go. Served straight from the fire pit. The rum selection and bar presentation is an experience in it's own. Service was professional and hip at the same time. It is a place we will plan on taking friends to next time we are in Las Vegas. Pros: Awesome decor, Excellent Feast, Great for groups more

The best club in Vegas! 9/28/2002

We went everywhere searching for the perfect party and music. We found it here! Most Vegas clubs play the same old played out songs from the 80s/90s.We found the music the DJs played here to be a pleasant mix of everything wonderful. The dancefloor is pretty small but the waterfalls all around make up for it.The drummers are a nice touch with the Djs.There was plenty of hot and sexy people all around. We will definitely be back on our next trip. Pros: stunning atmosphere, great house/hiphop DJ, beautiful people Cons: slow waitress service, long bathroom lines, house dancers suck more

Great atmosphere 9/20/2002

I've never seen anything quite like RumJungle in my life. The bar/restaurant was huge and about 3 stories tall (open air). Any kind of drink (rum especially) and excellent food combonations. I ordered the sampler platter which had me asking for a doggie bag because so much food was served. The restaurant converts into a nightclub late at night with dancers overhead on the catwalks. Waterfalls and plate glass windows to view the kitchen. Pros: Unique Atmosphere, Great Drinks, Oversized portions Cons: Hard to Find in Hotel, Cover charge for bar, Not Many Singles more

Vegas baby 9/6/2002

This is Vegas. Good looking people in a great place. If I ever opened a bar I'd have to say that I would model it after rum jungle. more

Hot! Hot! Hot! 8/14/2002

As a tourist, I found Rumjungle to be hot, hot, hot. The atmosphere was great with dancers hanging from the ceiling, water falling down the walls, and a great dance floor. I had a really good time wiht my friends. more

Solid 7/24/2002

When reading this review, keep in mind that I'm almost 40, and married :) There are actually two Rumjungles. There is the Saturday night Rumjungle and the Rumjungle I really dug which was the Thurs & Fri night one. What's the dif? Well, Thursday night was a really mixed crowd- 20 somethings to 40 somethings- GREAT crowd, cool vibe, awesome music, great bartenders... fun, fun, fun. Then came Saturday night... mainly 20 somethings, or the "need-to-be-seens", lots of ill-manered dudes, a shortage of ladies... alot like an MTV video. The Rumjungle is defenitely a cool spot, great music, cool decor, solid bartenders. I would defenitely recommend it, ESPECIALLY if you are a Mandalay Bay guest... ( no waiting on lines). Remember though, guest or not, it's still $20.00 to get in after I think 9:00 PM. So if you're not sure you'll enjoy it, check it out prior to that. Pros: music, decor Cons: rough crowd Sat night, $20 cover more

Partied like a rock star!! 7/17/2002

My girls and I have been coming to this place forever. Its always the best place to hear some of the citys best mix of latin-hip-hop-house.We got to meet and hang out with Fred Durnst of Limp Bizkit. He was so cool and funny~! The crowd was great and the music rocked all night. This club has been going strong forever and we will continue coming back to meet cool people and dance to the best music. Pros: best resident dj, beautiful visuals, creative house drinks Cons: crowded, rude bouncers, snotty waitresses more

Expensive attitudes 7/8/2002

I was so excited to go with my 3 single girls to this club. I heard it was the place to be. Ha! First, we had to drop $20 to get in, no big deal if it was as great as we were told. But no, there wasn't any seating for non "VIP" the drinks were cha-ching and if you were not a size 2 blonde with a exploded chest, the men actually bark at you. I didn't pay $20 to get attitude, when the minute I step out of the club I have men following me all over the place. Plus I had couples following me on the floor and throwing each other into me. Need more dancing space. Basically - it sucks for real people! Pros: employees entertain, nice decor Cons: attitudes, cost, crowded more

Need more seats! 6/26/2002

This is a great place, but they don't have enough places to sit and take a "time out". We were there for New Years Eve last year and had a great time (but we also bought a table). That's the only catch! more

Rumjungle 5/29/2002

Loud music, expensive drinks, flashing lights, girls in cages. This place is definitely worth a stop on your evening of club hopping. more

Erotic and exotic. 5/25/2002

The decor of the club is breathtaking. The fire, water and earth elements are such an original and effective idea. The Djs were of the higest caliber,The dancefloor exuded so much wonderful energy. The place was packed with incredible looking people. The music was high energy and sexy.we had such a wonderful time that we came back here instead of attempting anywhere else. Pros: Top notch DJs, gorgeous decor, beautiful people Cons: overcrowded, no drinks on danceflo more

Pulsating music and calming waterfalls! 5/23/2002

This is a club I have been going to with my friends for the last 3 years. The music is the best of all the clubs simply because they dont play the same cheesy music they play everywhere else. The drinks are very strong. The bartenders are friendly. The dancers are terrible. But the music ,atmosphere and eye candy is unbeatable anywhere. This club has remarkably stood the test of time. Pros: Great DJ, nice looking crowd, beautiful atmosphere Cons: waiting in lines, untrained dancers more

Editorial
  • In Short
Outside the door of Red Square stands a decapitated statue of Lenin. The head only lasted a month before complaints by retired servicemen convinced Mandalay Bay to chop it off the replica of the Soviet Communist leader. Inside, however, everything Russian reigns. The red decor will match the blood rushing to your head after knocking back a Stoli. With more than 100 varieties of vodka, this is the center of the Vegas martini world.
