THIS GUY IS A JOKE!!! 2/23/2012

Good: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Bad: Lets see. No buffer was used. He uses an aerosol spray wax. PROFESSIONAL? WHAT A JOKE. His "Royalte" detail is supposed to include an engine degrease but he didn't do it. There was still dirt on the dash and center console. The leather was still filthy in the cracks when all you had to do was simply apply a little bit of pressure. There is still road grime all over the bumper and side panels. Literally the worst detail I could imagine. It was 150 dollars + tip and it WAS COMPLETE GARBAGE! AVOID LIKE PLAGUE!. Improvements: Him never touching another persons car. AEROSOL WAX WILL DAMAGE YOUR PAINT! IT USES PETROLEUM SOLVENTS! ITS THE LAZIEST WAY TO WAX!. Other: SERIOUSLY AVOID this guy. Do yourself a favor and don't let him RUIN your paint when he is supposed to be cleaning it. He doesn't do 75% of what he claims will be done. I can't stress enough how bad of a "professional" this guy is.. more

Horrible experience - rude and ignorant owner!!! 4/15/2008

I brought my car for a car wash. Owner tried to sell me $150 detailing service very forcefully. When I politely declined and said that I do not have time and that is not my intention today and all I want is a car wash - he ran away, took care of some other cars in line than came back, pulled my car out of the line and refused me a service, all the while being rude and aggressive. He claimed my car is too dirty for him to wash (it was not , really, I simply had crumbs on the floor that I asked him to vacuum - pretty reasonable request considering that is the service he is offering) and said he was too busy (as if I was asking him out for lunch and not came as a customer for the service). It was really unbelievable and he yelled at me too!! Real a...hole. Reading other reviews made me feel that i am not totally nuts and that is the owner that is a nut. Needless to say he will never see my business or my friend's business again. I am still in shock. more

beware of the "car wash nazi" 12/24/2007

The older gentleman who greets the customer in line was such an a**hole to me (i think it's actually the owner). From the first words out of his mouth he was nothing but disrespectful. When I found out I would have to wait 1hr 10min to get my car washed I decided to do it another day (no one was behind me). He preceded to berate me with insults about not taking care of my car "your car is the one that suffers SIR"...and he was serious! "You have a wonderful holiday SIR" (add thick sarcasm). I told him to take it easy and he said "its about taking yourself seriously and not playing around"...huh??? My jaw is still on the ground from my encounter with the car wash nazi...i swear i did nothing to provoke this guy. more

Very Nasty! 5/25/2007

I was shocked by how poorly I was treated when I merely called for some information and prices. I will take my business elsewhere! more

Worst Car Wash I've Ever Had AND an awful owner--(I'm not alone, see below). 1/26/2007

I think the Michael A. who wrote that Royalty is the "Best Place" might just be the Michael Levine who owns Royalty. I had the worst car wash experience ever there. After a wash and wax, the inside of my car looked like it hadn't been touched: the painted door wells and area surrounding hatch gasket were filthy, milk splatter in cupholder and on center console remained, leaves and were still on floor, and a visible coat of dust still was on every vinyl surface. Owner Levine had assured me personally that the "wash and two coats of wax" would leave my car clean enough to sell the next day at Carmax. I was asked to pay in advance, which I found a bit odd. When I arrived to pick up my car, everyone but one guy had gone home early,as there had been a light snow that afternoon, so I couldn't ask for a refund then (Should never have paid up front. Who makes you pay for a car detailing up front? Argh.). Couldn't initially tell about wax job, because they had left it out in the open and snow covered my car (oh goody), but once I got home and in the garage, I could see grime underneath roof rails. I didn't have time or desire to have them redo it (I'd just have enough time to do it myself before going to CarMax), and so I asked the owner for a partial refund. The owner refused rudely--even TOLD me he wasn't listening to me. I think he was trying to intimidate me by being belligerent. I did some research, and it appears my experience is pretty common: the owner has been involved in several lawsuits with people who had complained about poor quality at Royalty, with the owner becoming verbally abusive. Yikes! See The Baltimore Record, "Pikesville car wash that sued for defamation settles second claim of" (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4183/is_2001112 9/ai_n10048602). All I wanted was a refund for the wash portion, but since he wouldn't listen to me, I'll have to contest the total amount of charges on my American Express (they don't allow partial contesting). And in the meantime, I'll sticking to the guys (Moab or Baltimore Detailing, I think) that come to my Owings Mills office with their mobile car wash (I couldn't use them this time because it was too cold outside for waxing). Even though they are more expensive, they do a terrific job and are pleasure to deal with. Well worth the money to avoid the Royal Treatment. :) more

Best place for a car wash 8/16/2005

If you have a luxury car or just want to take good care of your car, this is the best place to get a car wash from. It is all hand done and the prices are very reasonable. The one problem is that on sunny days you can wait as long as 25-30 minutes for them to start working on your car. The actual car wash is quite long as well (normally 20-30 minutes per car). They also do detail work on cars. more
