This is a great place to go if you are in good shape, highly motivated, and a fast learner. I do NOT recommend this studio for beginners or anyone who may be innately insecure. There are courses for beginners and children, however, Master West appears to have a low tolerance for those in poor physical condition.
I joined a beginning class to see what it was like, and found myself struggling. Although I requested more detailed instruction, Master West simply demonstrated each maneuver and then left without checking to see if I had actually caught on yet. At the end of the class he spoke with me -- about how he truly hoped the two new male students (both highschool wrestlers) would return.
I had intended to return in spite of the humiliating session, but I will not pay to be subjected to humiliation AND rudeness.
Pros: Inexpensive, Convenient location, Knowledgeable sensei
Cons: , Feel judged, Rude sensei
