It is not my intent to slam anyone, and in fact I went to this place because I had had good experience in the past, such that I considered I had finally found an honest mechanic. In this last case however, I took my Chrysler Crossfire in for inspection knowing I would need a few things fixed. I was fine with the fixes indicated, no problem there. But I was having some real problem with severely rough idling and they promised to take care of it. Unlike when I take it to a dealership, pay more but also get a demo to drive while I wait for any extended repairs, Roving kept my car for a day short of three weeks, and I had to come out of pocket for a rental. Further, it got to be where when I called, I was being promised I would get a call back. But I had to follow up my initial call with another in almost every case. I was promised the Crossfire's computer was hooked up directly with a diagnostic computer in Germany. I don't know. I was promised that the car was at a local Chrysler dealer finally, afer Roving first invited a Benz guy they knew to come have a look. When I picked up my car it was in no better running order, maybe worse, and I was out a good bit of change. A most disappointing experience, such that I am back out there with my lamp in hand, seeking an honest mechanic. more

The 'check charging system' light on my 'problem car' '07 Suzuki SX4 had flashed a couple of times which usually means the early stages of alternator failure. Only the techs at R/A didn't assume that but thoroughly checked the system out and found that the problem actually was a bad belt tensioner. Overall, I like how the folks at R/A work as a team and ask each other for advice/help. That's what makes them so good. more

The good intention for customer service is there, but not satisfied. Dropped off my car early in the morning for an oil change and was told there were 2 people ahead of me, so it wouldn't be long. At 2 o'clock I called and "it will be ready soon". At 3 o'clock I returned to the station and the paperwork and car were ready, but girl said she didn't know if I had been called or not and just waited until service manager returned from lunch. Then I was quoted a completely unreasonable amount to fix my brakes, which luckily I know another mechanic who took care of me. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending your business to anyone. more

I have been going to Roving Auto since they opened. My wife and I are always treated with respect. We have never experienced the typical upsale tactics for unnecessary parts or service like the "big chain" places. They consitantly perform superior work on our vehicles. more
