Consistently delicious! 2/14/2013

I've been going to Rosita's since I was little, and it's always delicious! They hand-make corn tortillas in the front where you can watch, and give a sample to kids (a tortilla rolled up with a bit of butter - yum!). I've always had a good experience eating here, and it's my favorite Mexican restaurant in north Seattle. They're also very good about taking special orders to accomodate food allergies. more

Food was fine, but experience was sour 2/9/2009

We spent a pleasant evening with friends and the food was good. However, when receiving our credit card statement a couple of weeks later, we learned that the restaurant had run my credit card once for my family and a second time for another family (which I did not sign). Resolving the matter with the owner of the restaurant took many phone calls (yes, I tried my credit card company and they said to work with the merchant). In the end, the owner was unpleasant and not apologetic. It completely soured us on the restaurant. My suggestion is to take cash to pay your bill. more

We love Rosita's! 4/23/2007

We love it for the fresh warm tortillas you can watch them make, the basket of *warm* fresh crispy chips that never gets empty, and the varied menu. The spinach enchiladas are amazing, as are the tacos al pastor. Parking at Greenlake is an issue, of course, and Rosita's lot is tiny, but that's truly the only drawback I can think of. more

Nice restaurant with good food 2/9/2006

There seems to be a sea of mid-range mexican restaurants that try to be authentic sit down establishments, but somehow fail to meet the marks. I was there for lunch, and felt they had really reasonable prices for the food and it tasted pretty darn good. I also liked the endless chips which seems to be a vanishing commodity at some places. more

Tasty Home Made Mexican 8/31/2005

Rosita's Mexican Grill makes very tasty food. The home made tortillas are fresh and warm right from the oven. Having tried many dishes there, I can not recall any being less than very good. It's family friendly and unpretentious. They also make very good margaritas and drinks. more

Filling and Delicious 8/31/2005

Mexican food at its finest! Probably the best in town...chips and salsa galore! Portions that are huge and could probably feed you for a week! Great kid oriented atmosphere and extremely nice staff. It is definitely the happening place in town. I would recommend trying a margarita, they are to die for! And the free tortillas and salsa = mucho amazing! more

Rosita's 8/18/2005

If you just climbed Mt. Rainier in one day and all you’ve had was a Clif bar, come here. You’ve got the standards: best chips and salsa in town, good margaritas, and portions that could feed three large men. The food is darn good, too. Tons of kids in the place, just like any other Green Lake establishment. Also, there are free homemade tortillas with salsa near the bar. Get some, just be sure to tip. They’re worth it. more

Nice place, great location 8/13/2005

The restuarant is a great place for Mexican cuisine. It's much better than Azteca and is located right by Greenlake. As many of you know, parking can be a bit difficult down here and one of the reasons why Rosita is great is because there's free parking in the back. Not sure how many people know that. Price is very reasonable and service has always been great. Highly recommend. more

Mexican good food 8/13/2005

Rositas is not fully authentic but far above the likes of Azteca and such. but this has its own good name and brand .If I am in the area I love to eat here primarily for their splendid homemade tortilla bar. The have a person constantly making fresh tortillas at the bar and you simply tip her or him and partake as you like. There is nothing like fresh corn tortillas! The food IS pretty good but still not authentic mexican. It is always full and always fun. Rositas also has a excellent bar. more

Not bad, for Seattle 7/15/2005

Having lived in Phoenix for 8 years where getting good Mexican food is as easy as finding water in Seattle, it has been a bit of a transition getting used to the mostly bland Seattle Mexican food. I'd have to put Rosita's closer to the "tex-mex" than real Mexican end of the spectrum, but the food is tasty, the tomatillio salsa is addictive and the fresh tortillas are a nice touch. Also, the drinks can really pack a punch. more

Solid neighborhood Tex-Mex 7/21/2004

My wife and I have been looking for a good, non-chain tex-mex place within walking distance from our house for a while now. We'd heard about Rosita's (near Greenlake) and walked up to give them a try last night. Our initial assessment: Solid. Good food, nice people, not super-homey inside (and a little cold due to A/C), but definitely worth a repeat visit. Would love to hear from anyone who's been there and has an insider tip to share (best dish, best drink, etc.)... more
