The specials here really are special. Trust the chef and wait staff to take care of you at this tiny spot. The food is so yummy you will barely notice your sitting on top of your neighbors. In splendid weather it's best to head outdoors to the small bistro tables. Arrive early if you want to be seated for brunch without a wait. The brunch deal is a steal. more

A constantly changing menu of perfectly prepared seasonal/local food. I've loved every meal I've had here and the recipes they distribute at the GreenMarket are also superb. more

The brunch at Rose Water is truly delicious with fresh banana bread or fig bread served with omelettes. The service is very good, with cool and collected waitstaff. The middle eastern platter at dinner is extremely fresh and tasty, but I ate some sort of venison stew that was a bit heavy and strange tasting. more

great food and cool ambience 8/17/2005

Just recently tried this place and was impressed by the decor and intimate setting inside. Had 2 great dishes that we ate to the last crumb. Service was good, and we were not rushed out (although I hear it gets crowded earlier in the evening). Great restaurant for a date or dinner out with a friend. more

nice brunch spot in the slope 10/30/2004

The feng shui in this little union street cafe is just what you think of when you want to use "brunch" as a verb (e.g. "let's brunch!"). Intimate, bright, quaint, casual, comfortable, this place has pleasant decor which is perfect for a weekend chomp with 1 or 2 friends... any more than that really becomes a question of space.

The food is pleasant, not overabundant, but enough. The feel of a standard Euro-Am food cuisine, that feels like they added a twist (good thing); though it really is just Euro-Am food.

All and all, it's worth taking off your robe, punching into some jeans, and walking around the corner to meet a friend here. more
