Get the schwarma plate and you won't be sorry. Chicken or lamb. This place is really good. I've eaten in the Middle East and the food in this place is just as good as it is there....

Best Middle Eastern food in LA 11/20/2009

Get the schwarma plate and you won't be sorry. Chicken or lamb. This place is really good. I've eaten in the Middle East and the food in this place is just as good as it is there. I've joked with the owner that he needs to open more but he just shrugs. Pros: Reasonable prices for good food Cons: They only have one location more

Addictive Chicken Salad 1/12/2009

I have to stand up for RoRo. I know there's more authentic Med food in the valley, but their food is pretty great for the middle of Hollywood. The salads and sides are tasty and I like their chicken more than Zankou. Pros: Salad and sides Cons: Valley has better mediteranian food, but it's the VALLEY more

Best Lebanese food in LA! 12/6/2008

Worst Shawarma Ever! 8/4/2008

Born and bred in the middle east I know what a decent shawarma tastes like.. we just moved to LA a month ago, so we like to try out new places to eat. I got a flyer in the mail for this place, the prices looked too good to be true and it was located few minutes from where we live... I dragged my husband there as I was really craving a hot yummy meal...\r \r but instead what we got were cold chewy and half empty shawarmas... after we placed the order I never saw any of the staff near the grill making the sandwich, but I did see them cleaning the floor & counter behind the counter. My husband was wondering if they even washed their hands after cleaning..\r \r You know how the shawarma vertical grill/broiler is always in plain view and the shawarma is made in front of your eyes..the pita bread is usually placed at the bottom of the grill to let it heat while cooked meat is cut off for the sandwich... but I didn't see any of this going on here while we were waiting as I was constantly looking towards the grill.\r \r After 10 minutes I see wrapped sandwiches that appeared from somewhere deep inside the kitchen being brought to us.. even the hummus was disgusting... \r \r I don't think I will EVER go back..\r \r I have tried one other middle eastern place, the Sham Restaurant and it was AMAZING, just like back home. There is no comparison between the two places. Pros: Parking Cons: cold stale food and slow service. more

Horrible customer service 5/21/2008

\r The food is nothing to write home about, but its ok to eat if you pass by it. The bad thing about this place is the service, especially if you call for DELIVERY. They must get a bunch of prank callers over there because every time you call to place an order they accuse you of being ""the one"" who calls to place an order and later cancels it. Sometimes they'll take your order and tell you it will be thirty minutes, only to never show up. I'm disappointed because as you might have guessed by now, I was a regular customer of theirs and tipped very well, every time. Not any more... more
