Professional, Good value 7/26/2011

The check engine light came on in my car and I took it to Ron's in Fisher's Landing on a recommendation from a co-worker. The shop was very professional and service oriented. The diagnosis my car needed was well explained before I authorized it, and as it turned out, the repair was able to be done during the diagnostics at no additional charge. I was especially pleased because if I had listened to my local parts store, I would have replaced a perfectly good sensor, when all that was really needed was a small repair on some wiring. Ron's also took the time to update me on some basic maintenance needs, which I appreciated. -I'll be returning more

I took my car to Ron's Automotive for some body repairs after a little fender bender and am extremely pleased with the customer service I received and my car looks great again! They (I think his name was Pat) were helpful through the whole process and very knowledgeable when dealing with my insurance company, which is never easy. Ron's is like the peanut butter and jelly when you are looking to have a sandwhich. If you have a problem with your car, either body work or mechanical, this is the place to take it! Best Shop in Town Bar None 7/29/2010

I was recently in to the shop in Hazel Dell and was blown away! This shop is not you everyday shop. The office and shop are the cleanest I have ever seen. The staff is very presentable and knowlegable! I never feel pressured when I bring any of my three vehicles in. Tried, but couldn't fix my '04 Suburban in 2 visits. 1/30/2010

Said they could diagnose electrical just as well as the dealer. Had our vehicle in for 2 full days on separate occasions. Fixed 1/2 the problem - but was still having issues. They could not diagnose the root problem, so they speculated that the issue was from aftermarket equipment (wheels? dvd player, back-up camera, stereo). I am not willing to put the vehicle back to stock condition so they can work on it - when it's worked fine for years with everything installed. They only charged me for the $100 diagnosis fee - which I felt was fair for 2 days of trying. I spoke to the owner & feel they honestly tried. They were very nice and offered one more try. It's a difficult case, but I felt if they thought it was due to all the aftermarket items - they should have been able to take care of the troubleshooting in 2 days. I just don't have the time in my busy life to spare a vehicle when my wife needs it and I am out of town a lot. I troubleshot it myself after I brought it home and it hasn't done it since - but if it does it again - I'll go to the dealer because they have the ability to swap out OEM parts. I may come back to Ron's if I have a separate problem. Sorry I had to write this "less-than-shining" review, but it's exactly what happened. I may recommend them to someone as a friendly mechanic shop - but not for electrical issues. Pros: nice people - I may recommend them for certain issues. Slighly incompetent 1/11/2010

Brought in Mazda Protege for two related issues. One was a shimmy under acceleration from 50mph up, and the other was a newer problem that felt like motor mount had gone out. Pros: Fast work Cons: Totally misdiagnosed issue, then missed obvious signs; costs more
