Amazing Authentic Italinan Cuisine 10/18/2011

This is the best Italian food in southern Orange County by far!! All the food is freshly cooked in an open kitchen and comes to your table steaming hot! When asked if they can modify a dish on the menu, for instance a red sauce instead of a cream sauce, it has always been NO problem and always excellent. Highly recommend! more

The food always taste so fresh and I LOVE the wood buring oven for the pizza. It's makes the pizza taste deilicous! I just found out they have live dancing Saturday nights at 9:30. I can't wait! Sounds like fun. more

San Juan Capistrano - Vintage Event 11/4/2009

Romeo Cucina brought a touch of Italy to the 13th Annual Vintage event at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano on October 17th as hundreds of guests celebrated the feast of the city's Italian heritage. Romeo Cucina was a part of the 'Little Italy' section of the evenings festivities which included live music, dancing, casino area and silent auction. The highlight for all was the opportunity to sample Romeo Cucina's signature pasta which received rave reviews from all that attended. Molto Buono!!! more

DOES GREAT CATERING 11/4/2009

Romeo Cucina catered a Newcomers of Saddleback Valley event this past October 24th and the food was a great hit! They served Chicken Marsala, Baked Beef Ziti, salad & bread - everyone thought the food was delicious and the Chicken Marsala was everyone's favorite. I would hire them again!!! Their restaurant in Laguna Niguel has great atmosphere and delicious food. Pros: BEST CHICKEN MARSALA Cons: NONE more

Words to Describe Romeo's: Delicious, Romantic, & Healthy! 4/16/2009

There are three words that come to mind when talking about my experiences at Romeo Cucina. First is delicious; the food at Romeo Cucina is absolutely positively mouth-watering. From the olive tapenade that comes with the basket of warm bread at the onset of your meal, to the sizzling garlic and olive oil which permeates the air as a myriad of rustic dishes are being prepared. Personally, I enjoy their hearty seafood soup, called Cioppino, and their authentic style thin-crust pizzas. The second word that comes to mind about Romeo Cucina is healthy. When eating, the meals are surprisingly light and yet carry a burst of flavor that can only come through via a scrumptious blend of extra virgin olive oil, rather than butter, and the freshest ingredients. From the roasted garlic of their pasta dishes to the crisp greens of their salads, every mouthful explodes with flavor that will not make you feel guilty the next day and keep you coming back for more. Finally, the third word that comes to mind about Romeo Cucina is romantic. From the warm inviting colors of the walls, to the multicolored art displayed throughout the restaurant, everything is carefully laid-out in order to set the mood just right for an evening out. The ambiance at dusk is unparalleled; something akin to a golden sunset with a hint of nightfall. Moreover, the service is truly inviting; sometimes I even feel as if I am family there. In short, Romeo Cucina is feast not only for ones pallet, but also for one?s eyes and heart. Do yourself a treat and spend an evening in Italy? at Romeo Cucina?s! Pros: Food and Atmosphere - very romantic and very good... Cons: Too far from my house! more

Love in the air 4/14/2009

My roommate brought me to Romeo Cucina on a Saturday night for Salsa night. The restaurant has a dance floor and is very stylish. I ordered cioppino, it was very flavorful; it was the best cioppino I've had, the fish was very very fresh. Also the bartender free- pours when making mixed drinks, so you'll get great drinks. I even found the love of my life at Romeo Cucina... It is my favorite place to go for dinner or just drinks. Enjoy! Pros: Authentic, great prices Cons: None more

Finally an Italian Restaurant that cooks real food!!! 4/10/2009

What can I say, I am 100% Italian and I have waited for years for an Italian restaurant that cooks real Italian food. I am excited to say that my search is over and Romeo Cucina's taste just like Nonna's but better. It is so hard to find a restaurant where the staff, food and prices are amazing and you will never be let done, but at Romeo Cucina you will always be treated like one of the family. I recommend Romeo Cucina to all of my friends and when we have guests from out town this where we always go. Pros: Everything!!!!! Cons: None more

Great place for all! 4/9/2009

What more could you ask for in an Italian restaurant? Great food, great ambiance, and fast and friendly service. The menu is varied from classical dishes to those different family secret recipes including vegitarian meals. This restaurant is great for the entire family, and they do a good job on special events. On Saturday nights, they have a DJ playing salsa, cha, cha, merengue, and more. Dancers come from all around so it's quite a spectacle just to observe and enjoy. We even had them cater an event at home, in which the food and service again passed our expectations. We have actually become addicted and eat here at least three times a month Pros: Great food and great atmosphere more

Busy, busy night at the Cucina. 2/11/2009

Ruth and I have had your Ortolina as a staple in our diet for years now! But tonight was the best ever. What did you do different? Watched your flying knife in the kitchen. I would have no fingers left! The special of earthy (polenta & mushies) scallops and shrimp was very good, but second place behind the ribs special. From the happy tummy of a repeat customer, more

Throw a Party Here! 10/14/2008

We love Italian food and love eating it at Romeo Cucina! I reserved the whole place for my husband's surprise 50th birthday on Labor Day. Ada proposed menu and wine selections. Michael came up with excellent appetizer selections and arranged for the DJ. Planning this party was the easiest ever. With one phone call and a few emails I arranged dinner, drinks, and dancing for 45 people! The party was a success; all the guests raved! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. Everything turned out better than I imagined it would. I will definitely recommend Romeo Cucina to anyone looking to throw a private party for 40-80 people with a modest budget. Pros: Personal service; authentic cooking; perfectly sized for 40-80 person party Cons: No view more

Finally !! Food cooked with passion. Real authentic, delicious pastas, pizza, and seafood. 10/7/2008

What a great time my family of 10 had at Romeo Cucina. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the owner and taken to our table. As soon as we sat our server was ready to get us anything we needed. It's nice to get individual attention for 10 people! Each one of us were very satisfied with unbelievable pastas. They were so tasty with every bite. The best, creative pasta i've had. Some of us had pink sauce (delicious), seafood pasta with garlic and olive oil (delicious). I was amazed each plate was truly prepared with passion. I can't forget the pizza, they were kind enough to design my brother a pizza of his own. Unbelievable!!! Romeo Cucina is truly a complete restaurant from service, atmosphere, and mind-blowing food. more

authentic southern italian restaurant 2/7/2008

after visiting southern italy several times i can say romeo cucina completely authenticates real southern style italian food. they use fresh ingredients and cook everything to order. their homeade pizza crusts and warm bread are wonderful as well as their homeade gnocchi and ravioli. i love the insalata de la casa (the house salad) with greens, mint and chevre cheese tossed in a yummy balsamic vinegrette. I recommend romeos every time. more

Excellent cuisine; warm and friendly service! 2/3/2008

I eat light, or try to, so I normally go for the Minestrone (also great for te cold season) which is some of the best I've had. Also, the Aso Bucco is delicious- the lamb's meat with bone marrow, served with a tiny spoon for you to scoop it out, served on pasta; my friend always orders this and swears by it... his all time favorite. Recently I tried a new dish: the Montimare- delicious pasta served with scallops, shrimp, and I can't remember what else. But if you like seafood, you'll love this dish. I eat here at least every other week if not every week, in other words it's well worth it! more

Warm atmoshere and great food. 1/31/2008

A very nice place. The food is very authentic and very Italian. If you go there often enough the staff will greet you by your name. It's a great place to bring your friends to. Pros: Friendly, tasty, free parking Cons: Sometimes gets very busy, hard to get in without a reservation more
