I've just returned to Roman Holiday after my second experience. I can say that the designer I have can always transform my hair from blah to wow. I've had a lot of bad experiences from less pricey salons where I would go home very unsatisfied with my cut. At Roman Holiday, they make sure that I recieve the personal service which is often lacking at all the other salons from the past. I will certainly go back. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, Great service Cons: Pricey but worth it more

I happened upon this salon, coincidentally and I must say that the ""experience,"" as my haircutter, Jesselyn put it, was 5 star, all the way. And if the other cutters/stylists/designers are in the same class with her the future of this place is bright! Let's face it, salons / barbershops are a dime a dozen , they can be found on almost any block in a populated area, so to have staying power, a business like this must provide exemplary service from the moment you walk in, to the time you pay your bill, and in my case, walk out feeling that I was listened to, and the skills of the practitioner were applied to my wishes. If suggestions were solicited by me, they were responded to with graciousness and carried out with cheer and I got the sense that Jesselyn truly cared about me and my needs. I'm assuming that the owners of RHS should be credited with assembling a staff that brings upon the business the accolades it has been given. Congratulations! more

Our entire family has been going to Roman Holiday for years. They understand what we each want and can tell us what we need. They work hard to ensure that each client is happy with their style whether it is a cut and color for an adult or a rescue hair cut when a 4 year old child decides to cut first. From the minute I walked into the salon, they took very good care of me. Sherri spent time with me discussing what I wanted. I got the best highlight and cut ever. I've decided that the one person worth their weight in gold is most definitely my hair stylist so I wanted to give her a rave review and encourage all of you (women and men!) in the P-town area to head on down for a great new do! (And even if you're not in the P-town area, the salon is a short drive from the other side of the bay! (I drive to their salon from San Jose, because it's totally worth it!) I've been getting my hair cut by Mike and Sherri since I was 16!- that means I have been pampered by them for almost 11 years now. Sherri (my hair stylist) and Mike (who cuts my mom's hair) own the Roman Holiday Salon, located in Pleasanton off of Hopyard Rd. The salon is very relaxing and anyone who walks in the door is treated like a queen (or King!). Ever watch What Not To Wear? and think, ""Wow, I would love a hair makeover"". Head to Mike and Sherri! They will help you decide what look is best for you! Over the years I've changed colors, cuts, and always walked out of the salon happy! Want great hair, but not the styling fuss? I was very impressed with the service I recieved at Roman Holiday! The receptionist was inviting and offered me a beverage. I was greeted warmly by the stylist (melisa) and recieved an amazing head massage and the haircut was by far the best I've ever had! She was also very knowledgable about all the products she used on my hair, which I appreciate because other places I have been have just threw them on my hair and not told me what there for so I am left wondering what to get and how to use it! They never have time and aren't willing to call you when a cancellation comes in. I finally gave up on this salon and went to StudioX in San Ramon. Watch out because the prices keep going up. Each stylist has a different rate so be sure to ask when booking appointments. One of the biggest problems is that when you get use to one and she graduates onto a higher position your rate goes up too. WHich is understandable but you should be able to keep the rate since you are a loyal client. Another thing is that they will pressure you to by the products they used on you. It's so frustrating! Each spray or rub is followed by ""This product is good for your hair because ......blah blah blah."" more

This salon really had a good potential but was blown by thier big heads! The owner Mike thinks he's too good to see clients and has a very restricted schedule. He is very nice and friendly but is never there. His pricing is $75.00 for a female hair cut and $50.00 for men. He's not even that good either. I would classify him as average. \r \r His wife is the rudest person in the world. The other stylist are just as rude as she is. If you are looking for a place to go and get a hair cut by a person with who wont even great you, then this is the place for you. It's like getting a haircut by a tree. No personality what so ever. \r \r Forget about being late for 10 mins, they don't care. They have plenty other clients waiting to fill your spot!
