WORST place to live! 9/25/2007

...continued from Previous_Tenant I was only there for 10 months, they never even bothered to supply contract renewal papers after 6 months. The final straw was a sewer overflow from the tub, flooding half my apartment while on vacation. After 3 weeks of complaining of no communication, poor and unfinished cleaning, and without a place to sleep ( would you sleep in a room filled with the toxic air of sewer water?), I decided to move out. Know one knew what the status of my apartment was, what actions were to be taken, or how long it would take to be back to normal. Meanwhile, my bedroom furniture and bed were still scattered and shoved into the living room. They felt they did were doing their job correctly and in reasonable time. By the way, when I threatened to move out, they decided to actually do the job right and replace the damaged carpet, I wonder why. I'd like to see their homes and see how comfortable they would be with liquid feces in their bedroom. They wouldnt refund me any rent i had paid unless i signed another contract...yeah right! So they half admit they were wrong but have no remorse. I still had to give them 30 days notice and pay rent. Fear of being hounded by collection agencies and putting a damper on my credit, I paid the crooks. Code compliance would take several months to evaluate any issue and at that time, there were three other cases for the complex already. Trust me, I have stayed in worse complexes and never had this much trouble with service. The property owners dont answer phone calls but relay any issues with the apartment office back to them so they may "assist" you. Don't bother taking down names or calling the office either, employees never stay long enough to reference back to. No matter how good the deal may sound, don't do it. If you are already a tenant, you have my sympathies and i pray you don't have to go through the same experience. Pros: you can move out! Cons: the office answers the phone" we having a great day at rolling ridge"- while you're in hates because of them more

WORST place to live! 9/25/2007

I would give it a lower rating if I could! Worst management and Property owners (Mayo Group)- stay away! I chose this place because it was very cheap and had washer/dryer connections. The size isn't bad either. That's where my compliments end. IThe paint on the walls seem to have a chalky finish. If you touch them, your fingers will have a white residue. If you brush up against it with a cardboard box, a noticeable mark will be made. The slider door lock never seemed to work, the dishwasher didn't necessarily wash, the sink leaked, and water stains appeared through various walls as time went on. The patio fence was falling apart, The stove burners always moved out of place and there where holes in the ceiling, behind doors and underneath cabinets. These are just a few things, I could go on forever. I knew this place was old, but a little upkeep could go a long way. The management team was more concerned about keeping the grass short around the office and hiring workers to move leaves around. When anything needs fixing, dont hold your breath, I chose which things i needed most. When you fill out the form describing the condition of the apartment when you move in, don't expect them to fix the problems. They were notorios for "not receiving" messages, documents, letters, etc. Also, the area is oozing with crime and vandalism. My vehicle was damaged three times costing me hundreds. My girlfriend's car had oil poured on it andaA neighbor had a boulder thrown on their windshield, nice. The office's response- "We dont handle that, call the police." You get a designated parking space, and you have the right to tow, but only during business hours. Check your water bill from them, they will overlap days so you pay twice as much. I once got an eviction notice for failure to pay rent, although I pay almost a week ahead of time. No communication, just a letter taped to my door INSIDE my aparment. It didnt take much to prove them wrong. to be continued... Pros: cheap, washer/dryer connections Cons: horrible management, problems are unattended, crime and vandalism central more
