Great Chiropractor - But they do not respect your time 10/5/2011

Dr. Gordon is a great chiropractor whom I have gone to for years, however I've had to find a new office simply because they have no consideration for people's time. If you call and say you want to come at a certain time, where it isn't so busy, they will just plug you in wherever they want. The front desk staff does not care about the request for a less busy time. The place is packed and the wait can be 45 min to an hour, easy, on any given day, and that's before they put you in a room, where you get to wait some more. I've seen secretaries let family members, friends, and frequent flier customers go ahead of you on the list and let them go back first. They probably see, I'm going to guess 30-40 people an hour. WAY too much. Think of them as the fast food of chiropractic. They are about mass serving the population and literally spend under 2 minutes with each person. Now with the atlas orthogonal technique you have to get adjusted one day, then come back the next day to adjust your back. This means TWO co-pays AND it means you need to allow 1.5 hours each day to come in for a visit. Ridiculous. At my new chiropractor, he only see's 4 patients total an hour, spends time with you asking questions, and does the atlas technique on the same day, with almost no waiting room time. That's how it should be. more

Best Chiropractor Ever! 5/4/2011

Dr. Doug Rody is the best! He helped me more in the 1st 3 months than my old chiropractor did in 16 years. \r Living pain free is so nice. I broke my neck 32 years ago and Dr. Doug keeps me feeling like a normal person. I let everyone I know about him. He is a miracle worker and a real sweetheart. He is a blessing!\r \r Rebeka more

No More Pain 4/13/2011

This office is unique because they feature Atlas-Orthogonal adjustments with no manual manipulation of the neck. I never had lastng relief until we came to see Dr. Doug. I remember the first time he aligned my neck. I had instant relief in my shoulders and I could move my neck for the first time, in many years, without pain and tightness. In the weeks that followed, my heart stopped racing, my hands stopped tingling, my hips stopped hurting and my headaches were gone. I can't thank Dr. Doug Rody enough for how he has helped us. Our whole family gets monthly adjustments and check-ups. Their staff members are very friendly and they offer early morning and evening appointments. My friend recommended Rody Chiropractic many years ago and, because I already had a chiropractor, I didn't change doctors at that time. Now I wish I would have. Thank-you Dr. Doug, Dr. Gordon, and Dr. Amy Rody. You are all a wonderful blessing to me and my family. God Bless you! more

It's Amazing! 4/7/2011

Our whole family received chiropractic care at Rody Chiropractic for the past 11 years. Our children have been treated from a very young age. This has been a real blessing for us. I can honestly say that keeping our family's neck and back properly aligned has kept us all very healthy with properly functioning immune systems. We have seen several amazing recoveries from falls and horseback riding injuries that could have caused long-term problems but since they were treated right away, a full recovery was made. In the rare event that someone gets a cold or the flu, a chiropractic adjustment has dramatically decreased the recovery time. This office is unique in that it features Atlas-Orthogonal adjustments with no manual manipulation of the neck. We like this - it is a very targeted, accurate adjustment that really makes a big difference. You can read more about this technique for yourself on the internet, but if you have headaches, sciatic pain or any other aches and pains, I encourage you to give them a call to find out how they could help you. There are sometimes long wait times, but I can tell you that our family thinks that the quality of care is well worth the wait time. more

So...I love and hate this place at the same time. 5/20/2008

Likes: I love the fact that I feel great and it is not too far from home. It's a beautiful, clean office and very kid friendly.\r \r Dislikes: When you make an appointment at most places, they tell you what it available. Here, they put you in wherever you want, the problem with that is, that if I want an appointment at 3:00 and so do 20 other people, chances are I am not getting in at that time. I would rather they tell me tocome at 2:45 instead since it will be less busy. I think they are trying to be more convenient by doing this manner of scheduling, but it's backfiring. I also don't recommend that you pay in cash. They were too busy to give me a receipt once and my payment never made it in the account. Since the girls working there are not the ones who are doing the billing (they are out-sourced to a Tacoma facility) there is really no accountabilty. So, I learned from my mistake, just use your debit card every time and keep the receipt and make them do it then instead of waiting for them to send you the bill, trust me, it gets too confusing. Also, the turnover rate is kind of high, the front desk faces are always changing. So be prepared for that.\r \r And finally the only other negative is that the communication is poor. When you first start, they don't really tell you what kind of schedule you will be on. I had to ask. I did feel ahead of the curve because the atlas orthogonal type of treatment he does is something I am used too. I have been going to one for years, but I think they should explain his philosophy instead of just assuming I might know. My husband started going (he has never been to a D.C.) before and he felt very lost because of communication gaps.\r \r Bottom line: You will feel better when you go but just make sure you ask questions and pay attention to accounts. Most of the probs are with the front desk. Pros: Quality care, kid friendly Cons: poor front desk, long wait times, 3rd party billing more
