I LOVE THEM! This is the ONLY Orthodontist in Simi that actually gave us a full financial overview from start to finish. I'm on my 3rd child in braces there & we've had nothing but a great experience. Sorry to say, people, but dentistry is expensive - insurance or no insurance. I'm a dollars & cents person, so, I want the bottom line & Simi Dental did just that. They will work with you & break payments up over 4 months, too, if your insurance has minimal coverage or considers something "cosmetic". Go see for yourself! They're great! more

A little background information. I used to go to Dr. Waxler but we lost our insurance a few years back so I haven't been to the dentist for a year and a half. Finally got new insurance, so made an appointment for what I thought was an exam and a cleaning. Getting the appointment is the ONLY thing that worked out in this scenario! \r \r Today I showed up for my 10:45 appt. The girl told me they are short on rooms and I may wait an extra 20 minutes. Fine. I finally got called at 11:30. Quickly got my X Rays and off to wait in the room! Dr. Waxler greeted me, checked my teeth and told me the guy would be in to discuss fees. Fine. I am waiting, waiting, waiting. Finally I am starting out into the hallway to ask if anyone is taking care of me??? Guy comes in to discuss fees. I agree to the periodontal cleaning that is needed. I would not ever ever recommend anyone go to this crooked dental group. I went in for a cleaning and was given a quote for over$5,000 for work on teeth that were in perfect shape.\r Beware of this office as they are hired and fired depending on the income and sales they make and are well known over Simi for their fraudulent business practices more

I found this office to be a great place. I read the reviews and had no intention of going to this office, but I broke a tooth and they were the only one's that could see me on such short notice. I found the entire staff very professional and helpful. It took a little longer to be seen, but I was an emergency add on.They took care of my problem and it cost me about what I expected. Dentistry is expensive people especially if you don't want to fill your mouth with all that metal that the insurance companies cover. I will return to this office with pleasure. more

DO NOT let these people touch your or your kids' mouth.\r This place is all about up-selling you. They wanted to pull two of my teeth. I went to a real dentist, and he fixed them in two visits.\r Also, this place has a very high turnover rate. Their office staff is rude, unproffessional. In short, this place should be out of business and their licenses revoked. THE WORST. more

WARNING FOR ORTHODONTICS . \r Firstly, my child has had braces on for five years because they change dentist every year. \r We are on our 4th, newly graduated USC orthodontist. That means,INEXPERIENCE, and the doctor LEARNS on your child. Each dentist "fixes" the problem the last dentist created. \r I went to a "real orthodontis" for my braces and had them off in under 2 years! My kid started at 10 and is now 15.\r These doctors rarely work on the child's teeth directly-but directs "the assistants" to do the work. My ortho did ALL the adjustments. NOT THESE DENTIST.\r Appointments are very limited because the ortho is only available Fridays. If you cancel an appointment- the next one available is usually 4-5 weeks later. Your child can have up to 6-8 weeks between appointments. Teeth are supposed to be adjusted every 4-6(max). They overbook appointments.\r LOOK AT THE PICTURES of the "graduates" from braces for yourself-not an attractive smile at all. \r Do not let them yank out your kids te more

i wish i read these reviews before going there. cause i agree with all of them, except for the one person who was happy with their service. long wait time. unenthusiastic individuals. and what appeared to be a money hungry group trying to max out every potential bill. but that's just my opinion. everyone should formulate their own. good luck! =) more

Was just wondering where these people went... I took my family to Simi Valley Dental and it was the best experience we have had. Maybe its the new staff and Drs. These people really cared and went over the top to make us comfortable. We have been patients since the beginning of 2008, never had ANY problems. People when you go to the dentist you are going to have to pay, its not free even if you have insurance. I love my Drs and the staff at Simi. more

I came in for my exam and cleaning, I waited over 45 min to be seenby the doctor. It took the Dr. 10 min to look at me and later shesaid some one will come in to let you know about the price.Later a women came in and said that I need some crowns and thatit would cost me $3000.00 I told her I have INSURANCE and she said its not covered by my ins. I was very mad and left the officeI just waisted 3hours of my life for nothing. I called my Insuranceand they said that my copay would be 1500.00. I dont understand just dont go to this place its a big business they are part of a big chain called Pacific Dental Services. more

The front office staff is really nice here, but they seem overwhelmed. Every time I've been here, it's a minimum half hour wait after your appointment time to be seen. Today I waited an hour and half with my teenage daughter for her to see the periodontist. She was to have undergone general anesthetic and hadn't eaten or drank anything since the night before and they kept pushing the appointment back. We finally ended up walking out. This just isn't how patients should be treated. And they were going to charge $1700 for this.\r \r I paid $39 for initial teeth cleaning and they would only polish my teeth, saying I had "calculus" and needed to pay for a more expensive cleaning. Of course I have calculus, that's why I need a cleaning! finally they agreed to the $39 cleaning if I signed a release. The cleaning consisted only of getting my teeth polished. So one hour, lots of x-rays and $39 later, I still need my teeth cleaned. This was little more than a come on to get me to come more

Just to warn people that my experience at the Simi Dental Group next door to sharkey's was the worst one ever . The dentist about(30ish) was rude , pushy and disrespectful ; But so was the hygeinist who cleaned my teeth , who entered the room in a bad mood and did her job like an angry grandma clampett swatting flies . Maybe that is the way people from her middle east ( Iran possibly) are. thank you....anon. more

It was my son's first dentist appointment. The receptionist first informed me the time I wanted was almost impossible. She kept me on the phone for 10 mins looking for an available time. I asked if they were a family dentistry. They dont see children until after 3 pm and was quick to inform me they do not cater to children and was very rude. What type of establishment can not even be considerate over the phone. I shudder to think of the treatment if you step into the office. more
