Rockyard American Grill

Rockyard American Restaurant & Grille has been a Castle Rock institution for the past 7 years. For the past 3 years, the Executive Chef of the Rockyard has been Jinnie Roundtree, a Culinary Arts graduate of Lousiana's McNeese State University School of Culinary Arts. Chef Roundtree has obviously learned a lot from the Lousiana Cuisine that gave her her start. Ms. Roundtree's Jalapeno Soup has become the Rockyard's "Signature Dish" for the past several years. The Jalapeno Soup has morphed into an ingredient for many of the Rockyard's Mexican dishes including both Chicken and Shrimp Enchiladas. Nice selection of items on the menu. Their beer is pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had, but nice. It’s got a very nice atmosphere as well. Normally pretty busy, so sometimes the wait can be a bit long. I don’t remember if they take reservations or not. In general, a nice local brewery. more

Knowing the owners of this restaurant does not make me biased at all this place is good!! The only thing I have an issue with is the smoking is very close to non-smoking. Ick!! Other than that, the atmosphere is like a Chili's and the food is very good. I have had many things from the menu and have been pleased with them all. You gotta try the salmon spinach salad!!
