Had a great time. Loved the all you can eat BBQ meal. I went back for seconds! (wish I had enough room for thirds) The town was rustic and had some fun things to do before the dinner/show. The show was very fun. The performers were very talented and funny. Danny Boy (the fiddler) is a national champion fiddle player and very funny. I appreciated that it was very entertaining, and still appropriate for the whole family. I'm coming back when my wife's family comes to town next month. more

If you are mormon or are planning on becoming mormon you'll probably like the show. Otherwise, you'll probably wish you were anywhere else! more

Several Hours of Cowboy Fun! 12/14/2011

My wife and I attended Rockin R Ranch with our 4 children Saturday night. As it might be relevant, our children are ages ten, eight, five, and two. With an overall rating of 3 ½ spurs out of 4, I would recommend Rockin R Ranch to friends, family, snowbird, and anyone else who wants something to do for fun on a Saturday night. Authentic cowboy entertainment, great food, and a gun fight at the end, this is a can’t miss experience.\r \r As we entered the gates and passed through a tunnel, it is as if we were transported in time back about 100 years to the old west. We enjoyed panning for gold, a traveling mystic show, and a traveling medicine show just as it may have been 100 years ago. Then dinner. Dinner was served ranch hand style. It was BBQ at its finest with large portions fit for a working cowboy. Following the four star dinner, a musical show in the tradition of old the west. The fiddler was AMAZING and don’t missing the yodeling… it is something special. The show is interactive, you might be called on stage. My family sang with the band Rudolf the Red-nosed reindeer for the holiday portion of the show. My eight year said that was the highlight of her life! After the singing is done, watch out for the gun fight between the saloon and the corral. Finish the night off with a batch of Sweet Mary’s Home Made Ice Cream…delicious.\r \r By definition, it is a working ranch, a ranch where people work… for more than a 100 years the ranch has transformed from a cattle ranch to horse breeding ranch (which they still do) while adding entertainment as a natural way to share this life with the public. \r \r Rockin R Ranch is truly an experience of authentic old western life for the whole family. Be prepared for several hours of cowboy fun! \r more

A Rockin' Good Time! 12/6/2011

I haven't been to Rockin' R Ranch in over 20 years. The last time I went, there were authentic cowboys, good food and great entertainment. Nothing's changed. This time I brought my two kids and they were enthralled with the shootout, ghost rider, and wild west town. They keep asking me to go back to the more

Great Night Out! 3/29/2011

A friend of mine recommended I bring my out of town friends and family to this place. I was not quite sure about it, since I've been to cowboy themed chuck wagons before. I was pleasantly surprised. The evening was great! I loved the BBQ dinner and loved how it was all you can eat (because I definitely went back for seconds). The town was fun too. Got to shoot a real colt 45 revolver, learned how to rope a steer, and enjoyed the neat looking saloon. The stage show was well done as well. I loved how it was fun and entertaining, while still appropriate for my whole family. I later learned that this place was voted the #1 place to bring out of town friends and family by the local radio station, KTAR. I would agree. more

DON'T GET THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS??? 8/25/2008

Had a great time with my family!! nothing ""blue"" yes they are kind of repetitve, however they have to be ! I tell all my friends coming in to town about ""Danny boy"" and his ""water song"" and some of the funnier bits. so I, for one, am glad they keep some things the same! the food is always great! NEVER a time when we couldn't go back for more food! the music is top notch for what it is. always have a good time. Pros: fun for family, nothing ""dirty"" or ""blue"" Cons: parking lot is dirt, dining room has gravel on the floor...may not be a ""con"" to some more

Best place to bring out of town friends 6/27/2007

We love this place! Every time family or friends come from back east we bring them here to show them why we moved to Arizona. Just entering through the cave is like going back in time a hundred years. The cowboy dinners are great (we love the BBQ beef and Ratlesnake sauce). The western show is very professional and always fun for everybody in our group. Great music, great comedy. It's a reat cowboy experience and we reccomend it to everyone. Pros: not your typical ""tourist attraction"". Parking lot is not paved--it's cowboy! Cons: weekend nights during the winter season get too crouded. Wait a couple of months more

Disappointing time @ Rockin R Ranch 7/7/2006

Rockin R was disappointing. Food was ok, but I left hungry. Could not go back for seconds. Nothing to write home about. Show was the same as it was several years ago. The first 2-3 rows of tables were rushed at eating. I also do not consider Rockin R an ""amusement park"". An amusement park is some place like Six Flags, Disneyland, etc. I will not recommend or go back. Cons: Don't the Robson's ever change their show? more

Family Fun 11/12/2004

My first trip to the Rockin' R Ranch, recommended and accompanied by family members that have experienced the Ranch in past. It was fun & funny, food was great, entertainment value - I shall carry with me for a long time. I just feel sooo good - having been in their - the Robson's - presence. Thanks for a great & most memorable evening! Pros: family fun, laughter, good food more

Unimpressed and not recommended 4/24/2003

While the food is decent, the show could use a lot of re-writing and more variety. The attraction is run by a family, and the show was too long for what they were trying to accomplish. The quality of performance was not that great and was fairly repetitive. In addition, the performance seemed more a venue for the family to brag about their children and for the audience to applaud the family members. But, if you're interested in getting to know their family better and to look at their family photos, then you'll have a better time than I did. more
