Rock Bottom did not disappoint! Love it! 12/29/2009

We arrived late back into town and had to change our reservations. They were very accommodating. We had a great time with the friendly staff. The onsite brewed beer was a wonderful way to sample some fresh/unique local brew. After our friends arrived even later than us we were seated and served very well by the friendly and welcoming staff. The salmon was some of the best prepared I've ever had. I think the steaks left a little to be desired but I don't know why my husband orders steaks in a restaurant like this. I chose this restaurant based on the google/citysearch user reviews and I'm so glad I did. My husband and friends thanked me for finding such a fun spot. Pros: friendly staff, great menu, beer more

Terrible service and took 45 minutes for a turkey sandwich, party of 5 ? 7/24/2008

Menu was tantilizing, ambiance was great; however, our server was horrible, food took way to long for an hour lunch, and orders were preparred wrong upon arrival at the table. Some things are in excusable and some are excusable. I've spent 13 years in the food and beverage industry and have eaten just about every where and everytype of establishment. Sorry folks, but if your a business person that is looking to have lunch in an hour, this place isn't for you!! more

Classic pub 11/21/2006

I love all the appetizers here: titan's toothpicks, wings, pretzels, dips, casadilla, chilli... I've had them all and love it! Goes great with the drinks. Happy hour is awesome, some times crowded especially on Fridays but not too bad the rest of the week. Food wise, I'm a lover of the Jambalaya and Chicken fried Chicken. It's the best. For some reason, though, the food at the downtown location is better than Bellevue. I also prefer the ambience downtown. This could be I'm not an Eastside girl, but I really think there's a difference. Service is usually excellent, although the wait can be long withour reservations on weekends. They have a few pool tables in the bar which is great. Overall, it's perfect for larger (6-8-10 people) fun group meals or the occasional happy hour. more

The beer is good 11/4/2006

I really liked the Brown Bear and Red City (beer). A cool thing about this place is the free beer samplers. (It's free only if you are trying them first time.) There were, I think, eight kinds of beer, 5 to 6 oz. each. Their food is ok, I mean, it's just bar food after all. I ordered the Mahi Tacos, and the red rice was way too salty. Pros: First-time-FREE beer tasting more

One of Seattles best! 9/26/2006

I have eaten at the Rock Bottom twice in June within two weeks. One was on a Friday night before a concert at the Paramount (we had no trouble at all getting a table). The other time was on a Wednesday night before I had to catch a plane home (it was alot more crowded). Both times I had Chicken Fried Chicken with White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. The portions were on par with Claim Jumper's (meanig very good portions for the money!). The chicken and mashed potatoes were probably the best I have ever had. The Rock Bottom is highly reccommended! Pros: Huge portions, No crowds Cons: Hard to find off the street, Bathroom is in ajoining building where you have to enter a code. more

you left a $9.00 tip on 60 something bill...no wonder 9/18/2006

women can not tip. everyone knows that one. they saw it coming. get over it. have some beers and loosen up that bra strap honey. We all (yes we are women) go in every friday, for our usual GIRL waitress. We all have fun. And no we are not gay, for drinks food, and laughter over your uptight booties..find Carrie, have an IPA and a ""panty drooper shot"" and I promise a good time is on its way. If not, the first rounds on me. As Carrie says......""Cheers Bitches"" (although she says she stole the line) more

Great place to hang-out with friends! 10/22/2005

Check this place out. Great food & drinks. Atmosphere -- fun! Pros: Great menu, Drinks, service more

Work Party Bust! 9/18/2005

I took my team out to RB - The internet had a happy hour menu w/ specials for $3 an item. Needless to say - they brought a bill for over $98. After I stated we have the menu & did work w/ the hostess - they lowered the bill to $60 ($69 w/ tip). I am from Denver (& Des Moines, IA) where RB is AWESOME. This place doesn't compare - it is run down & washed out... more

Good hangout... 9/5/2003

I enjoy going to the Rock Bottom with the gang. The only drawback is that their menu really lacks vegetarian options. A more varied menu would be appreciated. But otherwise, it's great! Cheerful staff, attentive, you don't have to wait long for seating. Pros: good food, good staff Cons: no parking more

Beer is good but......... 2/25/2003

Rockbottom has gone down hill the past few years. I work downtown & it was always a good meeting place after work. BUT, about the only thing I go for now is the beer which is good. The salmon fish n chips are ALWAYS over cooked and greasy. (Among other dishes) The service other than in the bar, is lacking. It took 3 attempts to get the check from the waiter last time I was there & then 3 more to give him my credit card so we could leave. It's over crowded on Fridays.. so make a reservation if you are eating in the main area. Oh - the pool is ridiculous! $10 an hour is a RIP OFF!!!!! Pros: Beer Cons: Too Crowded, $10/hr pool games, Greasy food more

Highlight of the Trip 9/16/2002

Our server was wonderful. He was joking and laughing with us, and he was very helpful in choosing our meals. The steak was great. more
