went here for dinner about 1 month ago, great apps and food. i ordered this great lemon chicken dish that is so tasty. i recommand that dish to everyone and my husband liked the beer they make there. hes there beer fan now. but if you havent tried there food i suggest you should. more

My wife and I got married in Colorado and had our rehearsal dinner at Rockbottom in Denver. We love their beer. At their location in Campbell, CA we loved the patio and happy hour specials. It's one of the few places in the San Jose area where dogs are welcome on the patio.\r \r Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. We really wanted to love this place, really. We spent a year going here a couple times a month and every time the service was absolutely horrible. But with a nice patio and decent beers we kept going back. After four or five trips in a row with a completely inattentive wait staff and extremely rude hostesses, we've decided to give up. \r \r The last trip we waited 15 minutes just for a waitress then another 10 for drinks. Mind you, there were only three other tables occupied on the patio. Then our appetizers were brought to a different table and we didn?t see our server for another 10 minutes. Rock Bottom has a great variety of beers. I especially recommend trying their specials, they tend to be great. The food is also great. I highly recommend the Brown Ale Chicken, Burgers, and their Chicken Fajitas. To be honest, I have only had one thing there I did not like and they have since removed it from the menu. I'd heard a lot but was disappointed with their beers. Their food is above par for a brewery; the ribs are fantastic. They have good variety too. A little on the expensive side but certainly worth the price. The service varies between average and terrible, but if you want to hang out with friends this a great place. I've been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. When seated inside, our service has been excellent and the food decent. But most recently, we had a large group (plus a dog!) and were seated way in the back, and totally forgotten. Their food is okay to decent, but bar food nonetheless. At least there are healthy items such as wraps and salads. Cons: so-so service more

I love Rock Bottom and I am a mug club member ..Scoring more than 150 pints and attending annual Cigar Dinners I can say I think I know the place. The appetizers are good and match pretty well with the beer. The Raccoon red is a fav and most recently the Kolsch is pretty nice on a warm day. Try the ballpark pretzel and a couple racoon reds, you wont be sorry. The nachos are OMG tasty as is a simple double plate o'fries with beers. If yer still hungry the burgers are great and the chicken sandwiches are too. Steer clear of the ""pulled pork"" (its not southern in any way shape or form) and the bland pastas . . Rare is the microbrewery that offers great beer and good food, but Rock Bottom is the place! This is one of my favorite restaurants! For starters try the Titan Toothpicks! And don't come here is you're not gonna try the beer. Faller Wheat is my fave, best wheat beer I've ever had! And don't leave until you've had the carrot cake, monstrous and delicious!!! The last time I was there I Had dinner and it was wonderful. I was there with a friend and we met the brewmaster and had different beers recommended with each course of a special dinner, a terrific experience. Beers were excellent. Carnitas, a Sunday special, was terribly dry and had no flavor; probably was ""slow-roasted""...from the previous Sunday. I have been there three times in the last 6 weeks and every time the tvs are so messed up that you can hardly see the picture and if you arent in the bar area you cant even see them. Sat ""at the bar"" which is this huge open area of tall tables and TVs nearby for watching sports. The food portions were HUGE - the spinach dip was DELISH. I ordered the chicken ceasar salad and barely finished half of it. we had the stout cheesecake - REALLY GOOD cheesecake with a slight flavor of stout. Definitely different, definitely good. Their Raccoon Red is one of my favorite beers, and their Seasonal IPA (St. Nick's 9.8-10%) is my absolute favorite. Great place to hang out and grab a few beers. Their Brown Ale Chicken is EXCELLENT. Waitresses and Bartenders are very courteous and always have a smile on their faces. People complain that they don't get seated on time, and that's because it's crowded. ROCK BOTTOM MGMT SAYS: ""Customer is not right"" ------------------------------------------------- If you are going here with with a party 4 or fewer, you should be fine. I HIGHLY recommend not coming here if you are a party larger than 8. Service gets REALLY REALLY slow. Management prefers not to take reservations (between 6:30-9:00), yet forgets to train their employees to follow that policy as well. Had a group of friends show up for my 30th B-day party and the reservations made a week earlier were no longer valid. Why? Don't know. Plus, the discrepencies on the bill fell on death ears because management stood their ground even though there were over a dozen witnesses proving their error. Go there if you're a small party. The employees are nice and friendly, but well trained on company policy. Can't same the same for their bosses'. I thought the Beer was Great!!! But the service was lacking in all areas because of the crowd. 35 minuets on a thursday night at 6:00pm. Either they need to expand or they need to start accepting reservations. But boy I'll tell you the steak was PHAT. It was Great. The beer was better and the potatoes were ""delish"". I would recomend it to any one who asked. But just remember it's a place to go when you have and extra 45 monuets to spend in the bar having a brew!!! Rock on!!!
