I contacted Robin Larson Lath & Plaster in Spring 2007 to get general information about their plaster services and pricing. The person that picked up the phone answered by saying, "hi" and didn't identify that the number I had reached was a business, let alone a plaster company. When I attempted to discern that I had actually reached Robin Larson Plaster, the person got impatient and acted like there was something wrong with me for asking questions. Eventually I found out it was Robin who had answered. I let him know that I was thinking about having plaster intalled in my home and briefly described what I had in mind. I also said that I was trying to get a ball-park figure of how much that kind of project might cost. In an accusatory tone of voice, he asked me what I was really calling about and why I was asking him about pricing. He rudely told me that they don't give out pricing info over the phone. So I changed the subject and asked about what kinds of plaster work his company did, and he would only provide one-word responses in a very terse tone of voice. When I tried to ask him about the benefits vs. drawbacks of using metal vs. wood lath, he said, "because it is better". When I asked him to describe in what way metal is better, he said, "because it is". Finally, I got fed up and asked him what his problem was and why he was taking such an unprofessional tone with me and why it was so difficult to get my questions answered. He then literally began to yell at me and called me a b____h, a c__nt, and that I should get off his f___ing phone, and to stick my head up my a__s. Clearly, customer service is not much of a priority for this company. Not only do I not recommend Robin Larson Plaster & Lath, but I will be getting everyone I know to boycott this company.
