One of our favorite places to eat out with our children is "River City Diner" -- the food isn't exactly cheap, but it's SO much better than you'd get at fast food restaurants. The music they play is all "Oldies" and it's just so relaxing -- there's often a DVD running of old TV commercials and such as well, it's just a fun place to go with a very 50's Diner feel to it --
I usually get very good service there, they serve breakfast all day which is good because I'm addicted to the Loraine Omlette!
The kids menu includes breakfast dishes they can get all day as well and they never complain when I order a regular meal for my children and ask for 3 plates -- I find that I can get better veggies and such that way so it's something I often request but not all restaurants are so accomodating.
The decor is very 50's Diner as well, there's a motorcycle posted up between two booths, a working jukebox, guitars and records pinned to the walls --
The servers are very polite and only once have I actually gotten bad service there and we go A LOT -- so I think she was just having a bad day and forgot to bring me more than one cup of coffee -- I needed my coffee that day too!
All in all it's a really nice establishment, convenient, safe, clean, affordable and family friendly.
