Because of this I saved myself about $3500 that the other shop was trying to get me to pay, instead of $125 at River Oaks Auto. Thanks and the guys couldn't have been nicer or easier to deal with. more

I spoke to Vince to have my clutch changed and he gave me a very reasonable quote and warranty. When I picked it up, on time, Vince said that he was knocking $400 off the quoted price. When does that ever happen? This was my first time using River Oaks Automotive and it definitely won't be my last. Pete, John, Vince and the guys were extremely courteous and answered all of my extensive questions fully and politely...and I ask a lot of questions! Highly, highly recommended. more

Don't go there. They repaired my brake disk that don't need to be repaired (20k miles on it). Confronting John with my complaint; he said we normally do that ... Also, charging $200 labor for 2 hours of work. Do not perform the task written on their bill, e.g. service computer. They lost a customer. more

My wife and I have patronized River Oaks Automotive Center for many years now with no complaints whatsoever. Whether its a simple state inspection or finding that troublesome ""intermittent"" problem, ROAC can do it all. I have taken a wide variety of cars& SUV's to them over the years and I have yet to present them something they couldn't fix. They always call with an estimate before they perform any work on my vehicle and there are no surprises when I do arrive to pick it up. ROAC is very good at estimating how much time my auto repair will take. Only once in all the years I have been going have they missed there time estimated for when my car would be ready. While I am there they treat my with courtesy & respect by listening to what I have to say. Lastly I haven't had to bring my vehicle back to them again for repeated fixing or diagnosis. This is a great business that happens to be located very near where I live. They have done right by my wife & I for many years now and I hope to be able to continue to do future business with them should the need arises. more

I was having some issues with my F-250 in the steering so I took to a place my friend recommended, River Oaks Automotive. Pete was the guy that helped me and jumped in my truck and took it for a test drive. he immediately knew what was wrong, weak tie rod ends. Next thing you know he was on the phone ordering some new parts that arrived about an hour later, and were installed in a few minutes. Truck drives straight and tracks true now. Thanks for the service over there guys. It's much appreciated. more

I came into River Oaks Automotive for a state inspection bc it is very close to where I live. They told me I failed the inspection bc my brake lights would not come on. He told me the issue was probably related to the gearshift being stuck as well. He told me they would have a mechanic look at it and he ""doubted"" it would be a simple fix. One quick search on Google told me the problem was the stoplight switch under the pedal. ""John"" gave me a call to tell me that indeed the problem was the stoplight switch. He told me the cost of the inspection was 39.99 and the cost to replace the stoplight switch was 150 before tax. The part can be found on the internet for less than 10 dollars and 23 dollars retail. I went up there to tell John that I would take my car somewhere else bc that estimate was totally ridiculous. He then told me there was a 50 dollar checkout fee. He told me about how the mechanic had to go so deep into the vehicle to reach the problem. Thank goodness I did my research, because I countered right away that the part was under the pedal and there was nothing he had to take apart to reach it. Lo and behold, he grudgingly waived the fee. Update: The owner of the shop called me to apologize and make amends. He was friendly and conciliatory. Obviously the owner of this business cares about customer service. more

The Better Bus Bureau has awarded River Oaks Automotive Center the Gold Star Award 7 years in a row and AAA Approved Auto Repair has awarded them 100% Customer Service Satisfaction 4 years in a row. The certificates decorated on the walls show the extensive schooling and factory training earned throughout the years. The shop is clean and friendly. They service all makes and models and shuttle service is even available. They are dedicated to high quality repairs done right the first time with pride and precision! I will always take my vehicles to River Oaks Automotive Center. more
